Friendly reminder regarding event rentals at 19 South:

Your rental time includes setup, decorating, cleanup, and being fully out of the building by the end of your reserved time slot. If you need additional time, it must be added and paid for ahead of time. Your deposit does NOT cover extra rental hours.

The deposit is there to ensure the building is cleaned properly and respected after your event — not to cover unpaid time or cleanup we end up having to do ourselves.

I am a naturally accommodating person, and I truly try to work with people and keep this space affordable and accessible for everyone. However, I’m learning that when boundaries are unclear, people often unintentionally push past them. My boundaries are sent via text.

At $25/hour, tables and chairs are already included, and we work very hard to keep this venue affordable. Going forward, additional time used will be charged accordingly.

Please understand that respecting these policies is what allows small businesses like ours to continue operating. Thank you so much for understanding and respecting our time as well.
