Join us for the Allegan Antique Market this Sunday, August 30th! It's Michigan's finest antique show, featuring hundreds of quality dealers in every field of antiques and collectibles.

We are excited to share a few exciting updates happening at the Allegan County Fair this year that will make your experience even better!

-We are improving our technology with six high-speed metal detectors. These metal detectors have the ability to process 3 times the people that our old detectors could. This will make the entry process safer and faster than ever before.
-We have increased our Gate Workers! There will be more employees to help answer any questions and make entry to the gates seamless.
-We have increased our Ticket Takers and have new scanners! We are improving technology again! This will help speed up the process of scanning your mobile tickets.
-We will have employees with megaphones to help direct you to gates that have fewer people. This will also help to speed up the entry process.

Here's what you can do to help everyone's experience:
-Make sure you don’t have a jackknife or anything similar on you.
-Keep your phone visible when passing through metal detectors.
-Have a CLEAR bag size 4.5” x 6.5” x 3”. If you require a larger bag we will direct you to a prepared security check area.
-Make sure you don’t have a cracked screen on the phone your tickets are on.
-Pay attention to the ticket taker and security attendants.
-Have tickets ready and available – don’t try to pull them up on your phone last minute. It’s best to have them ready before you enter the fairgrounds.
-Please read through our Venue Info, Rules, and Regulations prior to entry to avoid any confusion. If ordering online you will see the information prior to purchasing and you will receive more information with your confirmation and tickets.

Upcoming Meetings for 2026 Fair Workers:*

August 20th: Backstage Meeting at 5:30 PM
August 20th: Night Grounds Meeting at 6:00 PM
August 24th: Parkers Meeting at 6:00 PM
*All meetings will be held behind the main office by Gate B on the Fairgrounds. If you haven’t applied yet for one of these positions, you can just show up at the meetings!

Allegan County Fair is currently hiring for the following positions:
Backstage – Set up for stage performances September 10 – 18, days may vary.
Night Grounds Workers – Sweeping, cleaning midways and bleachers. September 11 – 19
Parking – Directing traffic and parking cars. September 11 – 19

These positions all pay minimum wage, $13.73 per hour. Please note these positions are part time. You may also not work everyday of fair.
