Alabama Women in Jazz Festival

Alabama Women in Jazz Festival Huntsville Women in Jazz, an appreciation for women in music, jazz focused by founder, Patrice Bivins

Supporting women in music has been our goal since the first inception of Huntsville Women in Jazz Festival that we presented in 2014 at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens. This small indoor setting of about 50 guests and a dynamic line up of female performers, vocalists and musicians was well received. The name later changed to Alabama Women in Jazz Festival in 2015 presented in the Big Spring Park

East in downtown Huntsville to allow for the inclusion of all Alabama women musicians statewide. We have in the last few years partnered with the UAH Department of Music and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion to present the festival on the campus grounds, and to embrace a culture that expands to the students and the communities that enjoy outdoor arts and events. The Alabama Women in Jazz Festival is now in its 9th year to highlight women performers throughout the state of Alabama and other regions of the country.
