Festival in the Park Bringing the community together with week-long concerts, food vendors, artisans, family activities, kids events, car show, sidewalk sales & so much more!

09/07/2025

Another wonderful week in the books for the Festival in the Park!
The Punxsutawney Area Chamber of Commerce would like to thank all our sponsors, volunteers and community who helped bring this week together. We are grateful for the growing support; without our generous sponsors and our ongoing fundraising efforts, the over $70,000 endeavour wouldn't be possible. We pride ourselves in creating a family friendly, fun for all ages and comfortable atmosphere.
Our small town is lucky to be able to host a week long festival right in the center of our hometown, that offers free entertainment for everyone to enjoy and we will strive to keep that tradition going.
The community pulls together to provide daily activities, excellent band line-ups, food trucks, vendors, rides and other great activities to partake in.
Special thanks to our main sponsors: TDK Entertainment who takes care of the rides and games, the Inn at Punxsutawney for sponsoring rooms for the traveling bands, The Shadow Hotel for the 4th of July fireworks display, EMM Chevrolet and to the Elk Run Volunteer Fire Company for their generous fundraising efforts that will help support ongoing Festival funds! Thank you to the Borough for their downtown support, to the Borough Police Department for keeping our park safe and again to all the volunteers and sponsors who helped throughout the week; everything is greatly appreciated.

The positive feedback from the community keeps us eager to start next year's planning!

If you would like to take part in or volunteer during any of the Chambers yearly events, please reach out, we'd love to hear from you. 814-938-7700 x2 or [email protected]

Festival in the Park

In response to the Punxsutawney Borough Request for an organization to step-up to coordinate a 2020 Barclay Square Festival, the Punxsutawney Area Chamber of Commerce, Inc. is pleased to announce there will be a 2020 “Festival in the Park”. On July 25th Borough Council approved the Chamber’s request for the use of Barclay Square, Harmon Field, and two Borough side streets, as well as permit free downtown parking during the Festival Week.

Bob Cardamone, Chamber Executive Director, stated “planning for the 2020 Festival has begun and an initial list of events and activities includes concerts, food vendors, artisans, family activities, car show, and sidewalk sales.” Cardamone also stated the Punxsutawney Fire Department expressed their thanks for being invited to be part of the 2020 Festival and agreed to use the approved side streets and Harmon Field for their activities and events.

As previously announced by Chamber President, Katie Laska, the 2020 Festival plans and finances will be available to the public, and excess Festival revenues will be donated to the Punxsutawney Borough for Barclay Square improvements and upgrades.

Cardamone stressed the primary role of the Chamber, related to the Festival, will be to facilitate and collaborate with Committees, fundraise, and ensure Festival finances are separately tracked and documented so the Chamber can demonstrate full and complete transparency and accountability to the public.
