We’re bringing a small army of needle pokin’ professionals to the Jersey Devil Night Market this Saturday.

We’ve got 7 tattoo, piercing & body adornment shops represented, plus a traveling piercer, with 20 artists, piercers & tooth-gem pros altogether working the show. On Saturday, Oct 17, the Punk Rock Flea Market takes over the NJ Expo Center in Edison, NJ for a full night of Halloween and Spooky Season debauchery w/ 100+ artists & makers, tattooing, food, music, fire performances, oddities, strange entertainment, and enough poor decisions to make the drive home just a bit uncomfortable!

👀 HELP… WE’VE BEEN RAW DOGGIN’ BRAND IDENTITY SINCE 2013 👀

Yes, somehow, after nearly 15 years of doing this thing, we do not have an official logo.

We have hosted nearly 50 events since 2013. 50 posters worth of graphics. Over 100 tshirt designs. We’ve worked with 1000’s of vendors. 100’s of food trucks. Dozen’s of tattoo & piercing shops. We rent an absolutely disturbing amount of 6’ tables. We have built an entire weird little world around this thing… and yet, no logo. SAD.

SO HERE’S THE DEAL…
I (Joseph Francis) was a Creative Director & Graphic Designer for 25+ years in my former life and for years I’ve handled the majority of our event graphics & apparel designs (we’ve also worked w/ MANY other artists along the way), but most of our visual identity has always been built around each event. Every market had its own look, its own personality.

BUT… it’s 2026. Branding matters as much as ever. We’ve grown. Our audience has grown. The craziness that occurs behind closed doors on event days has actually developed infrastructure, which is honestly pretty fu***ng alarming, but here we are.

So now we need the thing we probably should have had over a decade ago:
AN OFFICIAL PUNK ROCK FLEA MARKET LOGO.

Something that feels like us. Not corporate. Not some Temu ass “punker” logo made by someone who considers Microsoft Paint their preferred design software of choice.

We need someone who understands punk & DIY culture, the sheer attitude & intense sarcasm that comes along with being born in New Jersey, and the very delicate, visual language of “Professional enough to put this on a billboard, but dangerous enough that you’ll 100% catch a stiff backhand if you f**k around if you say something racist in our presence.”

So… who should we trust with this wildly important (not really) endeavor? We’d love to hear your thoughts!

Tag your fave Designers, Illustrators, Branding experts. Tag Artists who get it. Tag the human who should be trusted with this terrible responsibility. Leave that AI s**t at the door.

Over the past 12 to 18 months, AI-generated imagery has been slithering into vendor spaces, online shops, “artist” pages, print racks, sticker bins, and social feeds like a bootleg plague... zero talent, questionable anatomy, f**ked up teeth, and not a goddamn single ounce of soul.

So, let’s make something very clear:
THE PUNK ROCK FLEA MARKET IS A HUMAN-MADE EVENT.
Always has been. Always will be.

We built this thing for real Artists, Makers, Designers, Photographers, Illustrators, Printmakers, Painters, Sculptors, Collectors, Vintage hunters, Record dealers, and all the weirdos, lifers, obsessives, and creative humans who actually MAKE the things that fill our events.

We did not spend nearly 15 years building a creative community so someone could type twelve words into a prompt box, slap the result on a sticker, and call themselves an artist.

Our customers show up to support actual humans making cool s**t. And we owe it to our vendors... people spending real money, taking real risks, losing real sleep, and working their asses off because creating something of their own matters.

The PRFM was built to give independent artists, makers, collectors, and small businesses a place to thrive... where creativity matters, originality matters, and inspiration is the whole fu***ng point.

And we intend to protect it.

We’re taking real steps to keep AI-generated work out of our events for our customers, our vendors, and the creative community we’ve spent nearly 15 years helping build.

Because art matters.
The human behind it matters.
The mistakes matter. The weird ideas matter. The years spent getting good at something matter. The ink stains, ruined canvases, broken sewing machines, late nights, s**tty first drafts, failed experiments, and 47 versions before finally getting the damn thing right...
ALL OF IT MATTERS.

Art makes this wonderful little world of ours more beautiful... and right now, protecting the people who actually create it may be more important than ever.

We’re opening our crypt for artists to submit their work for the first annual BLACK MASS POP UP ART SHOW, a dark art pop-up art gallery taking place inside The Punk Rock Flea Market: Jersey Devil Night Market occuring on Saturday, Oct. 17 from 3pm-11pm, at the NJ Expo Center in Edison, N.J w/ all artwork being available for purchase.

We’re looking for work with fangs. Art that bites first. Creations that don’t ask permission to make people uncomfortable. The kind of art that leaves the viewer feeling slightly uneasy, yet they can never quite put their finger on how or why. Bring us the work that makes people look over their shoulder on the way back to their car.

Dark art. Occult-inspired work. Horror. Folklore. Religious guilt. Cursed portraits. Strange landscapes. Cryptids. Monsters. Saints. Devils. Ghosts. Witches. Rituals. Relics. Grief. Rage. Dark Humor. Decay. Transformation. The kind of art that looks like it knows something it shouldn’t and refuses to explain itself.
