Join us for the 11th Annual TC Trimdown (virtually) starting January 8th, 2025 at 9am through January 9th, 2025 at 8pm! We will be awarding $1,800 in gift certificates to the winning teams and donating a portion of all proceeds to the Northwest MI Food Coalition and the NMC Student Food Pantry. What is TC Trimdown? TC Trimdown is a community challenge to commit to a healthier lifestyle, put on by

the Traverse City Record-Eagle. The challenge kicks off with our Official Weigh-In event (virtually) from January 8th, 2025 at 9am until January 9th, 2025 at 8pm, at which teams of 2 or 4 start their health journey by entering their team's starting total weights! Teams will then compete over 10 weeks with weekly at-home weigh-ins for accountability, as well as tips, advice and helpful resources from TC Trimdown and our sponsors throughout the way. We will also hold sporadic challenges via our Facebook, provide our favorite answer to that week's question and you will win prizes for your whole team! We will hold the Official Weigh-Out event (virtually) on March 19th, 2025 starting at 9am through March 20th, 2025 at 8pm. Participants will enter their team's final weights for the challenge and we will hold our Virtual Winner Ceremony on Facebook on March 21st, so make sure to tune in to find out who wins! Winning teams are based on total percentage of body weight loss. Winning teams will receive $100 gift certificates to for each team member, courtesy of our Presenting Awards Sponsor. How do I participate? If you would like to participate, you will need to register your team prior to the entry deadline of 11:59pm on Tuesday, January 7th, 2025. The cost to participate is $10 per person, with a portion of that amount going back to the NW MI Food Coalition and the NMC Student Food Pantry. We are deeply grateful for all of your participation over the years and are honored to have supported over 4,500 community participants in their commitment to a healthier lifestyle during the past 11 years. We’re also incredibly proud that, together, we’ve donated more than $25,000 to local food pantries through our event registration proceeds.

Congratulations to all of our 11th Annual TC Trimdown participants on committing to a healthier lifestyle for the past 10 weeks! We’re very proud of all your health accomplishments, and hope that you are too! Across all teams, 803.15 pounds were lost this year! Your participation also allowed us to donate 100% of our registration proceeds, $980 in total, to local food pantries through the Northwest Food Coalition and the NMC Foundation helping to improve the lives of those in need in our community!
