Levitt Bloc Toledo Music Series

The last night at Danny Thomas was electrifying! ⚡️🎶

There were plenty of activities for kids of all ages, along with resources from local organizations including Believe Center Inc, Toledo-Lucas County Health Department, and Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful, Inc..

The night sky set a moody backdrop for opening act DJ Tony Rios and main act Meche Trejo, who kept the energy going all night. 💃🏽🕺🏽

We can’t wait to bring another set of concerts to Danny Thomas Park next year! Thank you to everyone who came out, helped make the night happen, and supported the Levitt Bloc Toledo Music Series.

And a special thank you to our sponsors and partners, Sofia Quintero Art and Cultural Center, Toledo Design Collective Metroparks Toledo, City of Toledo, and ConnecToledo, for helping bring free live music to Toledo neighborhoods. ❤️🎶

Our last show at Glass City Metropark was a special one. ❤️‍🩹 We started the evening by slowing down and being present. Thank you to Toledo Mindfulness Institute for leading us through a guided meditation and spoken word experience that helped ground us and open us up for the music, connection, and community that followed.

Sometimes, us by simply giving us a moment to pause, breathe, and be together.

The universe came together for an incredible night at the Glass City Riverwalk, and honestly, it was a night we all needed. ❤️✨

We started the evening with a guided meditation, spoken word poetry, and a sound bath from the Toledo Mindfulness Institute. 😌

Then, Kuf Knotz & Christine Elise took the stage with deep, resonating music and live harp. It was such a unique, fun, and rhythmic performance that had everyone moving and feeling the music.

A little sprinkle of rain came through, grounding us even more in the moment before a rainbow appeared toward the end of the night. 🌈

The universe is truly magical. ✨ City of Toledo, Toledo Design Collective, Toledo.com, Metroparks Toledo.

Tom was a huge part of making the Levitt Bloc Toledo Music Series a success.❤️ Our hearts go out to his friends, family, colleagues at Great Lakes Sound & Lighting, and the Toledo music scene. 🫶

Our hearts are broken while we mourn the unexpected loss of Tom. Words can not describe the immense loss those who knew him are feeling. Tom was a colleague and friend to many. He was a legend in the Toledo events industry working for Great Lakes Sound for over 35 years and was a member of I.A.T.S.E Local #24. He was our longest standing employee and an immensely valued member of our team.

It was often said that Tom might not know everyone, but everyone surely knows Tom.

Our thoughts go out to his family & friends. We’d like to send thanks to our employees, Lucas County EMS and St. Vincent Hospital staff in their professionalism yesterday.

We will provide an update regarding a service when more is known.
