An exciting week of music, song, dance, language, and crafts. Workshops: by Master Teachers from Ireland, the USA, and Canada who dedicate themselves to handing down the skills and nuances of the Irish Tradition. Concerts: Monday-Friday at the MJQ Irish Culture and Sports Centre from 7-9 PM. A World-Class feast of performances open to everybody, and included in the student package. Ceilis: Monday

We’re delighted to feature Lynne Biegel, an accomplished fiber artist, certified knitting instructor, and passionate educator with decades of experience in knitting, crochet, and fiber arts.

Join Lynne during Catskills Irish Arts Week 2026 for her Arran Knitting Afternoon Workshop, where you’ll learn traditional techniques, build confidence in your skills, and connect with fellow makers in a welcoming and creative environment.

Ann Marie Acosta, MA, ADCRG

Ann Marie studied traditional Irish music and dance with Jerry Mulvihill, Donny Golden, and Maureen Glynn Connolly; and founded the Acosta School of Irish Music and dance in 1998. She is an All-Ireland Champion at Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann, and a multi-instrumentalist, specializing in piano and piano accordion.

Ann Marie is a certified teacher and adjudicator for Irish Dance, with TCRG and ADCRG certificates from CLRG. She has adjudicated music competitions at local, regional, national, and All-Ireland levels. She is an SCT music examiner, and enjoys helping children deepen their love for traditional Irish Music and Dance. She was inducted into the Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann Hall of Fame in 2018, and currently serves as the Mid-Atlantic Regional Chairperson for CCE North America.

Ann Marie has taught at Irish Arts Week, Mad Week, Scoil Eigse, O’Flaherty’s Retreat, Fordham University, and the University of Limerick, where she earned a Masters in Traditional Irish music performance in 2007. In July Ann Marie will teach piano accordion and an all-instrument ensemble class for teens at Irish Arts Week 2026.

Cara Wildman, Bodhran Instructor & Performer a CIAW 2026
Cara Wildman is a highly sought after bodhrán player at the cutting edge of the instrument's modern development. She credits a large part of her musicality to growing up playing western swing with her father and going two-stepping with her parents in her hometown of Dorchester, Texas. She has toured with Joanie Madden, Oisin Mac Diarmada's Irish Christmas in America, Máiréad Nesbitt’s Celtic Spells, was a founding member of Irish band The Consequences, and more. Cara was the 2021 All-Ireland Fleadh Fest champion and holds two degrees in music education from Texas Christian University, and a Masters in Irish Traditional Music Performance from the University of Limerick in Ireland.

Seán Earnest honed his guitar and bouzouki craft at the University of Limerick’s Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, where he earned a first class honors Master’s degree in Irish Traditional Music Performance. He returns to Irish Arts Week to teach bouzouki and has taught at many of the major Irish arts gatherings across the USA, Canada, and Iceland.

Seán has toured regularly throughout North America and beyond with the Irish group Téada, the Paul McKenna Band from Glasgow, the McPeake Family of Belfast, and his own quartet The Yanks, with whom he released two albums to critical acclaim. He has also performed with John Carty, Mary Bergin, Martin Hayes, Billy McComiskey, Brian Conway, Tony DeMarco, Kevin Burke, Damien Connolly, Dr. Mick Moloney, Joanie Madden, Kevin Crawford, Oisín Mac Diarmada, and many others.

Linda Hickman, a Hall of Fame Irish flutist and session host, teaches traditional flute and whistle. This summer her beginner whistle class will focus on rhythm and breathing in simple polkas and slides, while her intermediate class will explore phrasing and ornamentation in more advanced jigs and reels.
