The Florida Autonomous Vehicles Summit is where the future of transportation is taking shape. This week in ChampionsGate, tech leaders from across the country gathered to showcase groundbreaking innovations — from driverless cars to air taxis that could soon take flight over Central Florida.
Attendees got a glimpse of what’s ahead, including school buses equipped with smart safety sensors to protect students, expanding autonomous vehicle testing by Waymo in Orlando, and plans for potential air taxi hubs at Orlando International Airport (MCO).
As host Jeff Brandes shared, “It’s an emerging and exciting area of growth that we’re seeing.” Central Florida is quickly becoming a testbed for the next generation of transportation — where the future could soon be driving, or even flying, itself.
