Congratulations to everyone that contributed to the 10% rise in visitors to Felixstowe this summer. And a big thank you to all who took part in our Felixstowe Loves Festivals. Your hard work was worth it. Well done all.

The Felixstowe BID has revealed there has been a 7 increase in footfall in July as figures show a rise in the number of visitors.

Thank you to everyone who joined in at our events in Felixstowe this summer and in Woodbridge, featuring headliners Jazzie B - Soul II Soul, Aswad, Geno Washington and Les Spaine, as part of Super Fly - the first project about the American black music entering the UK via Suffolk's USAF bases between 1940s-1990s.

A picture of Les Spaine, legendary Funk and reggae DJ and principle partner in Super Fly, the first project about the role USAF bases in Suffolk played introducing American black music into the UK.

Les Spaine - Funk and reggae DJ Legend and principle partner in Super Fly, the first project to celebrate and collect the story of the black music influence of the US Airforce in Suffolk. Les has been part of the project since 2021 and part of the story since 1970, when he DJed the Suffolk bases. Les joined Geno Washington in The Super Fly line up at Woodbridge Festival 2025, appearing at New Street Market, Marlowe's and Elmhurst Park.
