I have joined up with Rucking 2 Remember in order to support another great cause. We will be posting an upcoming event very soon to support the mission. Please read the below to understand what the cause is for. Keith has been a friend of mine for a long time and has organized Rucking 2 Remember for a great cause.
Please share this and invite your friends to like my page and also give Rucking 2 Remember a like.
Rucking 2 Remember (R2R) is a non profit organization founded by a Marine, Sgt. Bridges, Keith. Keith served two (2) tours in Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). Keith chose not to re-enlist in the Marine Corps in 2006, and to stay home with his family; however always carried a desire to give back to the families of the service members that paid the ultimate sacrifice during the war. R2R now raises money in various ways to help those families, such as raffles, products in lieu of donations, community events, and rucking events.
To “ruck” is to carry 45-50 lbs on your back in a rucksack (like a backpack) and walk, run or hike several miles. The farthest Keith has ever rucked during an event to date is a 50k (31.07 miles).
The funds raised are regulated, and help the families in such ways as they see fit, I.e. flagpoles in their yards, memorials in their home towns, or college scholarships presented in the name of a fallen service member. R2R is proud to announce we will be selecting a recipient for our first scholarship in May 2020, to be presented in the memory of Sgt. Allen, Chad, USMC.
R2R’s passion is that America never forgets all of those who gave their life in the war on terror.
