Mua Lac Hong - Vietnamese Dance

MLH is Stanford's only Vietnamese dance group. We dance with fans, nón lá & parasols.

By combining these traditional props with original choreography & contemporary Vietnamese music, MLH hopes to share appreciation & love for Vietnamese culture.

hihi!! my name is brianna but you can call me bri (or any fun n silly nickname you come up with). i'm a sophomore majoring in asian american studies with a minor in education (ASK ME ABOUT THEM BOTH!!!), and i'm from escondido, ca (a suburb in san diego!). some things about me are that i'm a huge cat person, lover of the color pink, peanut butter enthusiast, and (for now) the wearer of a red bow. i'm also a huge fan of trying new yummy foods. speaking of food, my favorite has to be my grandma's gaeng nor mai (lao bamboo soup)

Heyo! My name is Dwight, and I am a senior studying psychology, sociology, and ethnic studies. I am from Grand Rapids, Michigan. My favorite Vietnamese dish is my mom's bún đặc biệt. Some of my favorite music artists right now are RINI, Thuy, and Hojean. A fun fact about me is that one time, my best friend and I found a dragonfly and named him Barry.

Here is an original joke I came up with: I was practicing basketball, practicing my shots. I threw an unfrosted cupcake into the hoop. I got muffin but net.

Hi friends!
My name is Matthew Nguyen (He/him) (also not the other Matthew Nguyen lol). I'm a sophomore studying Aero/Astro from Philadelphia, PA. My fave Viet Dish is Bò Lúc Lắc and my favorite Viet drink is Cà Phê Sữa Đá. I love watching cartoons-Adventure time, Gravity Falls, Star Vs. At the moment I'm obsessed over Amphibia and I just love the references to Thai culture because they are so relatable to me as Viet (ASEAN gang unite lol!).

GenMem spotlight! Introducing Steven!

Heyo!!! ^__^ My name is Steven Le, and I am from Phoenix, Arizona. I am a sophomore, and I have changed my intended major like 3 times so far this year already ;-;. However, I'm currently interested in MCS with a co-term in CS. Growing up, I never had a Viet community other than my family, so being around peers my age that I can speak Viet to has been an ✨amazing✨ experience. I am in LOVE with Mi Xiao Gion. Who doesn't love the satisfying crunch at first into the soft, sweet, and savory noodles? (っˆڡˆς)? Boba to drink after is a must! My favorite definitely has to be lychee slush boba with any flavor popping pearls and lychee jelly. You have got to try it :)).
