Once again, the Artful Dodger is all NEW. We have kept last years 5K and 10K route and now added a brand new 15K route. All courses start and end at a shared location so we can have an even bigger party at the finish line. Walkers are welcome to sign up for the 5K course. We have staggered the start times in order to have everyone back at the party around the same time. The route is a peaceful path through St. Clair's residential neighborhoods, along the bridge to bay to trail, and some fun paths for the 15K. Chipped time for all participants. The FREE Rembrandt Runz Run will be offered again this year for kids.
Our 2020 Artful Dodger is not only changing the look of the route, we are changing the looks of the race. This is not going to be an ordinary race - this is going to be a race EVENT!
With registration each participant will receive:
-Unique finishers medals, hand made by members of the St. Clair Art Association
-Stylish Sunglasses and Bondiband Headbands
-Post Race Pizza. Additional pizza tickets can be purchased for $3.00 a person
What makes this race more than every other race in the area? Simple, we offer:
-Musicians placed along the course
-Professional photographers in multiple locations to capture you along the route
-Free race photos with unique Artful Dodger frame
-Place awards for every 5 year age groups
-Sport taping before and after the race
-Dancers along the course
-Pre race yoga for runners by Happy Dog Yoga
-Photo wall for post race selfies
-Extra pizza tickets for family and friends not running.
- Bounce house and inflatable obstacle course
-Free face painting
- Artist Market - a place where are artist are selling running themed art.
Corporate teams are back. Any business with 5 or more employees participating in the 5K race can enter as a corporate team. All team member times will be added together to create an average. The team withe the fastest average time wins bragging rights and the possession of the corporate travel trophy. Their company name will be placed on a plaque to preserve their glory forever. The winning team members will also receive a free race entry for the next years race. All corporate teams must pre-register. Who can beat last years winner, Vincent’s Heating and Plumbing?
After the race will be an opportunity to earn MORE SWAG! The DaVinci Dash to Art will be a scavenger hunt style event. Each registered participant will receive a map to 5 separate public art displays in our town. As you go to each location, take a photo of you with the art, your race bib, and your medal, and post it to our social media page. Complete and post all 5 pictures before midnight Sunday the 28th, and you will receive a new piece of swag in the mail.
The funds raised during this event support the St. Clair Art Association (SCAA). the SCAA is located in the northeast section of Riverside Plaza. The SCAA offers an art gallery for local artists to showcase their art and they have classes in almost any art medium for people of all ages and skill levels. The SCAA also has Public Art displayed throughout the region. SCAA is a non-profit organization that helps the community in many others ways including; scholarships, participating in Empty Bowls,and many other amazing programs
