Springfield!
The citywide observance and celebration of Kwanzaa 2025 is almost here! This year, the community is invited to gather for three key events taking place December 26 – January 1, each hosted by a community partner: The Gammon House, the Mbele Leadership Foundation, and Covenant United Methodist Church.

We invite you to share the calendar and individual flyers and spread the word throughout the community.

Kwanzaa is a celebration of African and African American culture, grounded in seven guiding principles: Unity, Self-Determination, Collective Work and Responsibility, Cooperative Economics, Purpose, Creativity, and Faith. Join us as we reflect, celebrate, and build together.
