We ended the Kwanzaa Celebration this afternoon with engaging conversation and storytelling on Imani (Faith). Thank you Covenant United Methodist Church for hosting our gathering today.

Imani (Faith) is to believe with all our hearts in our people and the righteousness and victory of our struggle.

Thank you Mbele Leadership Foundation for hosting tonight’s Kwanzaa event highlighting the principle, Nia (purpose).

Our next Kwanzaa gathering will mark the final day of Kwanzaa on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Covenant UMC. We look forward to closing the season together. See you there!

This year, the community is invited to gather for three key events taking place December 26 – January 1, each hosted by a community partner: The Gammon House, the Mbele Leadership Foundation, and Covenant United Methodist Church.

We invite you to share the calendar and individual flyers and spread the word throughout the community.

Kwanzaa is a celebration of African and African American culture, grounded in seven guiding principles: Unity, Self-Determination, Collective Work and Responsibility, Cooperative Economics, Purpose, Creativity, and Faith. Join us as we reflect, celebrate, and build together.
