Sooner State Morgan Show Series

With the necessity to jump right in to Jubilee prep, I have simply not had a minute to reflect on the Sooner State show, and to officially thank the amazing people who made it happen. There are SO many people who were truly significant in the show's success. Because of all of you, we had a great show. I wish I had the time to tell the stories of each of your contributions, but for now, please know how grateful am to all of you! The generous sponsors, the enthusiastic exhibitors, the overworked, fabulous judge, Manya Smalley and her cohort and ringmaster, Belle Hufferd, Kim Henderson, Joy Turner, Brian Hadley, Erin Parkin, Devin Rietveld, Hannah (Montana) Pickett, Craig Edwards, Mike Mattozzi, Patti Schooley, Daniel & Hailey Uriarte, Penny Ramirez, Chris Nelsen, Deb Rietveld, Megan Henderson, and all of the Grady County fairgrounds staff. We are unexpectedly in need of someone to scribe for our dressage judge, Marie Maloney on Thursday. We understand it may take a few people to cover our full day of ride times. Can you help? Do you know someone that is qualified and interested? This is a paying gig! Please contact Susan Peacock or Sandy Sessink if you have any ideas.

VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE:
Dressage rides have been moved to starting at 7:00 am now. There were still too many conflicts with the main ring, and this change will completely remedy that situation. Dressage rides will be complete by 5:45 pm on Thursday.
Please go to www.showsecretary.com to verify your ride times one last time.

Youth of the Year Contestants: You are all in for a huge treat! Thanks to our contest coordinator, Cheryl Manahan you will have some golden opportunities for participating in this program. There will be lessons available, mentorships, gift certificates and cash awards!

A NOTE FROM SUSAN PEACOCK, OUR DRESSAGE COORDINATOR-
Dressage rides from the beginning of the day until 3:00 pm are in the 20 x 40 court and the rides after 3 pm will be in the 20 x 60 court.

We're so well prepared for the heat, with IV Hydration and Chris Nelson's amazing cooling fans, we'll probably have 75 degree weather and cool breezes. NOT! So, think ahead, Chris is here now with plenty of fans for all of us. And, starting Thursday, Brian will be here to here to literally hook you up to an IV to replenish your lost hydration, and give you boost of whatever vitamins and/or minerals you might need.

Due to our overwhelming number of entries in our dressage division, we happily find it necessary to make a few scheduling changes:
1. Ride times will move up 30 minutes. We will start at 7:30 am. Please check ride times again. Our coordinator, Susan Peacock will be making adjustments and posting them very soon.
2. The AMHA Dressage Seat Medal will be moved to the start of the day, first to go at 7:30 am.
3. The evening session in the main ring in the Event Center will start at 6:00 pm, rather than the original 5:00 start time. This will shorten the overlap by quite a bit.

This is all a wonderful problem to have, and I hope you will all be patient with us as we navigate this fabulous growth in dressage for us.
