Hey y’all!!! I’m Emma, and my husband Garrett and I are the proud owners of Georgia Dawn’s (with our little helper Remi, of course).

You might already know me from my other business, The Modern Iris, which I’ve been running for over 5 years! Opening a storefront has always been a dream of mine, so the fact that this is real is STILL kind of crazy 🤪🛍️

From the beginning, I’ve always wanted to create a place that supports local makers and products. Somewhere that feels welcoming, fun, and easy to walk into from the moment you step inside… and that’s exactly what Georgia Dawn’s is🫶🏼

Murfreesboro Painted Tree may not be a spot that’s open any more, but I have some AMAZING friends like Modern Revival and The Grand Exchange Bookstore that are so close!

Go see their cute stores and shop local💗🙌🏼

I’m sure you’ve all seen the news. Painted Tree Boutiques are closing…..effective immediately. One of our very own vendors is personally affected by this. She had a booth space there and was told to pack up. I am just so sadden by this. I loved going there to shop because I knew I was supporting small businesses.

It can be a scary time right now, but I’m choosing to just stay away from the negative and continue to walk in faith. You guys have always shown up for MR and our town and I know you’ll continue.

I would ask as we’re headed into a season of busy with May coming….then a season of a lot of folks out of town for the summer. Remember your small businesses in your town. They are building and dreaming and they would love your support. We know it’s easier to shop in the big box stores, on SHEIN or Amazon, but those folks aren’t supporting you like us little guys are.

Those stores don’t know about your family, pray for your kids or support your local sports teams.

We say it a lot but with this news, it bears repeating…..shopping local matters.

Swing by your local shops….support them….if you can’t make a purchase, share their posts, comment and give them a heart. It matters.

We love you and will be here as long as you’ll have us! 🤍

This morning, all vendors from Painted Tree Boutiques were emailed that the franchise is shutting down immediately.

While I am surprised and sad that this opportunity was taken from so many of us small business owners unexpectedly, I am very thankful for how many amazing customers I have met through this location.

For my Murfreesboro customers, don’t worry😉 You can still shop my earrings just a few minutes away at The Grand Exchange () on the Murfreesboro square🫶🏼🙌🏼

Also, our new store Georgia Dawn’s (.dawns) will have everything plus so much more (coming soon)
