When we started shaping the June Jam 2026 lineup, we knew Sunday night needed a centerpiece unlike anything we’d done before.
After evolving the festival each summer since 2018, we’ve always known that Sunday is where the whole weekend comes together. This year, we wanted to close things with music that speaks to our crew’s love of funky and uplifting live music in the most June Jam way possible. 🌲
Enter Plays Jamiroquai. 🎶
If you’ve been around the festival scene long enough, chances are you’ve crossed paths with The Motet. Formed over two decades ago, the six-piece Colorado band has built a devoted following with a seamless blend of funk, soul, jazz, and rock, selling out venues across the country, playing major festivals from Bonnaroo to Electric Forest, and headlining Red Rocks seven times along the way.
For June Jam, they’ll be bringing their fan-favorite Jamiroquai set to the forest — a tribute concept they first explored years ago and brought back last summer. It’s a natural bridge between live-band festival energy and the dance-forward side of June Jam: slick basslines, tight percussion, acid-jazz flavor, and the grooves that helped make Jamiroquai such a crossover force. 🪩
Sunday night at Playa Ponderosa is going to be special. We can’t wait to close out the weekend with this one. 💚
