Seattle Art Fair is proud to welcome STUDIO DRIFT to the fair's tenth edition. Founded by Dutch artists Lonneke Gordijn and Ralph Nauta, DRIFT is a multidisciplinary studio whose work uses technology to reveal the hidden phenomena and properties of the natural world.

Currently on view at the Seattle Art Museum, “Meadow” is a kinetic installation composed of mechanical flowers that open and close in a subtle choreography. The work reflects the impermanence of changing seasons and the sensory nature of growth.

At , .drift brings a new iteration of “Coded Nature”, a series exploring the patterns of animals, insects, and the elements, each representing a different code in the process of life. This presentation combines interactive and generative pattern work with atmospheric elements directly inspired by Northwest landscapes.

Previous iterations of the series have been exhibited at the LUMA Foundation (Arles, France), The CHANEL Culture Fund, PACE Gallery (New York, USA), and BBCC, Brazil.

‘Coded Nature’ joins Seattle Art Fair's tenth edition, featuring 85 galleries, leading Pacific Northwest cultural organizations, and a full week of exhibitions, public projects, talks, and panels in collaboration with Beneficiary Partner Seattle Art Museum and Artistic Director Nato Thompson.
