Hungry Bear 100 Race in the Great Northwoods! We finish at Tilly’s Pies and the Rivers Eatery Pizza. So there is pie at the finish!

Choose from the Hungry Bear 100, Snacking Bear 60, or Climbing Cub routes, all offering a taste of Northern Wisconsin's gravel riding and its vibrant communities. Whether you have the hankering to ride the Hungry Bear 100, Snacking Bear 60, or the Climbing Cub 30, all routes will serve up a challenge and give you a taste of the fortified gravel we have in Wisconsin’s Northwoods. g forest roads to steep descents littered with bumpy baby heads to eroded logging tracks, the three routes are a smorgasbord of million-year-old table scraps leftover from the last glacial period. For those who want a piece of pie waiting for them, we include the option to order a slice in the registration form on BikeRed linked in the button below. The Hungry Bear was born in the days when gravel races were unsupported DIY events where you were lucky to get a paper cue sheet and find a tavern at the end. We are trying to hold onto that BYOB adventure vibe that comes with a little bit of trepidation. All profits from this event will be divided between the Cable Volunteer Fire Department and to other local non-profits and worthy local causes. Routes:

Huge congratulations to all of our podium finishers at this year’s Hungry Bear Gravel! 🐻🏁

From the fast and fierce Hungry Bear 100, to the gritty Snacking Bear 60, to the always-fun Climbing Cub — these riders pushed hard across the gravel roads of Northern Wisconsin and earned their spots on the podium.

A few Mother’s Day shoutouts are still in order 💐

Even if Mother’s Day was a few days ago… it’s always Mother’s Day for the moms out there — kid moms, dog moms, plant moms, trail snack moms, race support moms, and all the women keeping life moving every day.

Every year at Hungry Bear 100, I am inspired by the incredible people who gather here. The event was filled not just with pie, pizza, tacos, and URSA Minor beer, but with a remarkable sense of positivity, inclusion, and joy that truly defines our community. For one special day, our corner of the world glowed a little brighter, thanks to the kindness, determination, and support each of you brought. My heartfelt thanks go out to the riders, volunteers, businesses, and the entire Cable community for sharing your time, energy, and spirit. Until next year, may you find adventure and inspiration on the CAMBA trails, the gravel roads, and wherever your journey leads you. The spirit of Hungry Bear lives on in each of us.
