Walk for Our Buddies is a non-profit (501c3) organization dedicated to creating awareness and building community for individuals with Down Syndrome in Bradford and Sullivan Counties, PA. We will have a 1 mile walk within the park. There is a wonderful playground at the park and we will have community organizations and vendors in attendance, music and food! We are honored to have the Sheshequin Pat

h Half Marathon ending in the park during our event. Runners can choose to partner with a Buddy to run for! We are hoping to connect runners and their Buddies after the Half Marathon. Proceeds from the Sheshequin Half will benefit Walk for Our Buddies! Walk for Our Buddies intends to distribute the money in the form of grants to families of individuals with Down Syndrome in Bradford and Sullivan Counties in a manner yet to be determined. We want every student to feel like they belong. Students with Down syndrome are much more likely to feel lonely at school, but your classroom can help change that!

We have a range of free resources to help you celebrate World Down Syndrome Day in March:
💙Assembly-Ready: An accessible presentation to help students learn what Down syndrome is in simple "science lesson" terms.
💛Get Creative: Fun colouring sheets and "design your own sock" templates for creative learners.
💙 Raise Awareness: "Lots Of Socks" posters to help you organize a bright, bold sock day to get the conversation started.
💛 Inclusive Learning: Resources to help students understand how to support their peers and ensure every voice is heard.
