The only thing ever constant in the event world is the knowledge that something unexpected is probably going to interrupt some aspect of the fabulous event you are trying to throw....and honey weddings are no different. Don't let a crazy mishap ruin your special day by getting the right kind of insurance.

STAMP PRICE ALERT!

As of July 12. 2026, The United States Postal Service has increased the price of the Forever Stamp, which is the most cost effective and typical stamp for mailing wedding invitations. When planning a wedding everyone knows every penny counts, so with this raise here is some basic wedding invitation information:

*Each standard invitation that weighs 1 ounce or less still only needs one Forever Stamp
*Heavier invitations, square envelopes, wax seals, ribbon, or bulky embellishments may require extra postage
*Send one invitation to yourself (or a friend nearby) before mailing the full batch. You'll see how it arrives and confirm the postage is correct before all of your invitations are in the mail.

Planner pro tip!
Take a five-minute trip to the post office with one assembled invitation so you know exactly what YOU need for your special invitation.

Even though Pride Month is over the need for inclusivity in the wedding industry will NEVER be over. Here at The Gay Events Guy, we take inclusion very seriously, I mean we are led by a fabulous gay himself! Inclusion for the LGBTQIA+ industry isn't just a stock photo on a vendors website, a single stylized shoot, or saying, "we celebrate ALL couples", with no experience to back it up.
So why does this matter?
1. Couples feel SEEN and SAFE: vendors that show off pride all year long and have multiple weddings/events promoting and showing off LGBTQIA+ couples show a true respect and viewpoint of working with these couples.
2. Couples feel safe with their wedding vendors: vendors who are experienced with LGBTQIA+ weddings tend to: avoid assumptions, use the right language and pronouns, and create a planning experience centered on the couple instead of outdated traditions.
3. LOVE deserves to be celebrated in EVERY form: our industry is made to celebrate love. Showing LGBTQIA+ representation reflects the real world and reminds couples that their love story is just as worthy of joy, visibility, and celebration as anyone else's.

Tuesday night felt like a deep exhale the whole wedding industry didn’t know it needed!

I had the chance to attend UnHustle at Home in Hyde Park, Tampa, and it was exactly what the name promises a pause, a reset, a reminder that we’re humans before we’re timelines and to-do lists.

After a wild wedding season, we got to unwind through some seriously thoughtful activations:
✨ custom perfume blending
✨ tiny tattoos (yes, I was tempted)
✨ interactive food experiences that felt more like play than catering

But what really stayed with me wasn’t just the experience it was the people.

This industry runs on connection. Not just networking, but real relationships. The kind where we celebrate each other, support each other, and genuinely want everyone to win.

Because here’s the truth:
When I’m surrounded by talented, kind, collaborative professionals, my couples benefit.

They get stronger vendor teams.
