He received his Bachelors in Languages from Brandies University in Boston and his Masters in International Law & International Business from The American University in Washington, D.C. In the years that Baro has lived in Santa Fe, he has worn many hats including Director of Development for the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival and later for the Native American Preparatory School. rector of Leadership Santa Fe and has owned and operated a bird farm in Cerrillos, NM. Baro has been a Realtor® since 1992 starting in property management. Baro served as President of the Santa Fe Association of Realtors® (SFAR) in 2008. Baro has chaired a number of committees for the Realtors® Association of New Mexico (RANM), and in 2015, Baro will serve as President of RANM. He has served on the Education Steering Committee for the New Mexico Real Estate Commission and on numerous committees for the National Association of Realtors® (NAR). Baro has been very involved in the community, having served as President of the Volunteer Involvement Service and Leadership Santa Fe Alumni Association; Development Chair, Foundation for Indian Leadership and the Santa Fe Community Theatre; Secretary, Cultural Affairs Committee, Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce; Member, Sangre de Cristo Animal Protection Center, Moving People Dance Theatre, the Laguna Education Foundation, and served five years on the Santa Fe Community College Foundation Board. Designations held by Baro include ABR, Accredited Buyer’s Representative; CIPS, Certified International Properties Specialist; CRS, Certified Residential Specialist; GRI, Graduate Real Estate Institute. Less than 3% of all Realtors in the Nation hold the CRS designation and approximately 1% have obtained the CIPS designation. In 2005, Baro was named Realtor of the Year by the Santa Fe Association of Realtors for his outstanding ethics, knowledge of real estate and contributions both to the Realtor Community and the community at large. In 2007 Baro was selected as one of 26 participants nationwide for the NAR’s Leadership Academy – Charter Class.
