Hello everyone. I wanted to give all of you an update on the status of the convention. Due to unforeseen scheduling changes, and a shortfall of the financial and staffing resources necessary to pull this event together, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our December event at Charles Page High School. We had some terrific talent lined up, some of whom we had not yet had an opportunity to promote, but its beyond our ability to move forward with the convention at this time. Thank you for your interest and support.

While OVNIcon is not a commercial venture -- it's explicitly a fundraiser for the arts and sciences programs at Charles Page High School -- there will be expenses we'll need to cover like insurance for the event, site fees, advertising, signage, programs, the conzine, website costs, transportation and boarding, and other still be to determined costs. We'll need sponsors who would be willing to chip in on these things -- most likely local businesses from Sand Springs, Tulsa, and the surrounding areas -- who would most benefit from visibility at our event. Given a maximum possible audience of 1,200 in-person visitors -- plus a few thousand people who might see it online -- what perks would your business want to chip in $100, $250, $500, or $1000? Alternatively, what services would you be willing to donate in lieu of cash?
