YOUR PERSONAL VOICE THROUGH SOLO PERFORMANCE
“The shortest distance between two people is a story.” Isabel Allende
You’ve probably had the experience of listening to someone tell a personal story and were transported
to a time in your life when you had a similar experience. Or, you project yourself into a possible future,
facing the same circumstances. This process is essential to human contact and communication. Since
the dawn of time we’ve sat around the fire and shared those experiences that can keep us safe, alive
and fulfilled. Solo performance is today’s equivalent of that ancestral fire.
This six week course will give you the fundamentals to develop your personal voice. We will identify and
develop powerful stories from your life and learn the formula to turn them into a full-length spoken
memoir performed onstage or in the virtual space. Through this process you will develop your personal
voice and learn to use that to engage an audience, allowing them to resonate with your life and
experience.
The class will culminate in a Zoom performance featuring 10 minutes of your piece, which you will have
worked through by redrafting, analysis and feedback. The performance will be open to the general
public.
You will also learn the process of producing your piece for a festival, open mic or self-produced
performance. If you go on to complete your play in your own time once the course has been completed,
for an additional fee, Christine can work with you further to help with development and direction. If
you’ve always wanted to share your unique story, trust that this is a safe and creative opportunity that
may help you to open future doors.

“Whatever you can do or dream, you can. Begin it; Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. “
W. H. Murray

When we last checked in with Ask.com, the grandaddy of question and answer platforms was changing direction. Moving a 15-year old general purpose search model to one that uses proprietary, semantic search technology to deliver answers from its own content banks, community, and experts, was no simple...

My Zen of Improv workshop is starting up on Tuesday, April 3 thru May 22 in SF. Please join me if you are looking for a fun and and exciting way to practice being more present in your life. This is a sequential course rather than a drop-in. Don't know when I'll be able to deliver this again so if you've been thinking that this sounded interesting here's your opportunity.

The most fun you’ll ever have in the pursuit of being present. This 8 week workshop will use skill building exercises and improvisation games as a mindfulness practice. If you ever wondered why those improv comics can be so flippin’ fast and funny it’s because they’re not thinking about the past or ...
