“Little Trees” is a new acrylic airbrush painting that I made for my solo show “7Days A Week” inspired by Toronto signs. Though this piece references Little Trees car air fresheners which are made in the US, I chose to make it because they’re a nostalgic piece of my life. When I came across a carwash place here that had the machine that sells them I knew I had to paint it. Nonetheless I am also inspired by the greenery of trees and flowers native to Toronto. If you’re interested in catching this piece and many more go to Tiger Den during regular business hours plus get some tasty Korean fusion bites and drinks! This is the last week so make sure you catch this TORONTO before it’s too late ⏰ Your art friend, Rayos Magos🤘🏽⚡️✨🫶🏽

“Proof of Payment (POP)” is a new acrylic piece inspired by Toronto signs for my solo show “7Days A Week” now on view Tiger Den The sign is a frequent one I’ve seen in the subway stations. I always enjoy seeing the simplicity of graphic design work. I also like drawing hands because they represent the work that I do. With this one I added my own cursive handwriting touch to it. Make sure you catch the show which will be closing at the end of this week Tiger Den during regular hours. Hope to see you there! Rayos🙌🏽✨🤘🏽⚡️

“Bargain Club” is a new mixed media painting that I made for my solo show “7Days A Week” Tiger Den which is inspired by signs around Toronto. The piece was inspired by an actual store sign and stripped down to its essence of imagery and letters (see original reference pic). I really enjoyed making this piece because I had to plan it out with the hand-cut stencils and color layers. The gradients also add an extra pop of color along with the texture that I’ve been experimenting with. Though this piece has sold, you can still catch the rest of the show and available pieces Tiger Den during regular operating hours until Oct.3rd. Hope to see you soon Toronto! “The Expansiveness of Latinidad: Art, Community, and Joy” was the theme of our keynote speech and collagraph print workshops College of San Mateo I was honored to be a part of this event and share space, make art, and build community with folks. I had the opportunity to talk about my life journey and how I ended up here today. I had the honor of teaching folks how to make prints. Their reactions to the magic of printmaking is always priceless and inspiring. Special shoutout to Marisol, Julie, and Hirania for making this happen as well as my friend Nikki for the recommendation. Thank you to College of San Mateo for having me and to all the community memes who came out. Forever grateful! Keep creating and making art in whatever way you can! Warmly, Rayos Magos🙏🏽✨⚡️🙌🏽

“Community Protected Hood Watch” is a new mixed media painting inspired by real signs that I’ve seem around Toronto. The piece is truncated to its bare essentials. Seeing these around town had me inspired by the simple graphics and font. I knew I had to make this one for my solo show “7Days A Week” on view Tiger Den during regular business hours. Highly recommend catching the show before the close Oct 3rd. See you somewhere soon! Your neighborhood art watcher, Rayos ⚡️

“Global Express Travel” is one of my favorite lil mixed media paintings that I made for my new solo show “7Days A Week.” This piece is inspired by my travels around town and comes from an actual sign (see reference pic). The sign was stripped down to its essentials and slightly altered. The red dot roughly marks the location of Toronto, Canada my new home. As a world traveler I enjoy taking trips around the world to new and familiar places. Catch this piece and many more tonight Tiger Den weekly Drink N Draw or during regular operating hours. Take a trip with me downtown and enjoy some Korean tapas and fusion drinks at this fine establishment. Hope to see you there! Your art homie, Rayos Magos🙌🏽⚡️✨✈️🚀🛸🤘🏽🌎

Last week’s Opening of “7Days A Week” my newest solo show Tiger Den This body of work explores my visual journey of Toronto signs, symbols, and landmarks. Since moving here I have been inspired by the subway signs, local business signs and random signage that I have come across. This intimate body of work is a new exploration of hand-cut stencils, textures, and airbrush to capture the look and feel of signs. The theme of the show is highlighted by the common convenient store symbol of a milk jug reading 7DAYS A WEEK, which references vintage milk delivery as well as my weekly outings and encounters in my home. This work is on display in Toronto from Sep8th through Oct3rd, 2026 at Tiger Den during regular business hours. Catch it while you can TORONTO! This one is for you! Your art friend, Rayos Magos🙌🏽✨⚡️🤘🏽

“Flowers” is a new mixed media painting inspired by Toronto signs and is part of my new solo show 7Days-A-Week, which highlights my 9month mark of living here. The image comes from a sign that I have seen many times cruising around town. The painting I made is an altered design, which keeps the aesthetic and essence of the original sign (see reference pic). Flowers here are blooming and can be found at local small market/convenient stores. The show will run from Sep8-Oct8, 2026 during operating hours of Tiger Den Go catch the show Toronto! Your art friend, Rayos Magos🤘🏽✨⚡️
