Ed Spriggs Ed Spriggs is a City Council Member who has served two terms and will be seeking re-election on Nove

As a Councilmember, Ed has led or voted for many community improvements over the last 4 years including:
• the paving of our streets and alleys;
• the return of our 4th of July fireworks and our famous Sun & Sea (Sandcastle) Festival;
• maintaining a balanced and transparent City budget;
• protecting our Sports Park for the benefit of IB youth teams and all residents;
• challenging the City’s fina

nce directors and consultants to provide accurate and detailed information in a form that the City Council and general public can understand;
• ensuring that the City retains a well–staffed Sheriff’s unit and well-staffed well-trained fire protection and lifeguard services. Between them, Ed and his wife, Leah, have six children and six grandchildren. Ed enjoys bodysurfing, walking the IB trails and beaches, and working with IB residents on how to improve our community.
