Hey, all you train-loving folks in Colorado and thereabouts! The Denver weather forecast looks decent for the Rocky Mountain Train Show this Saturday and Sunday. The PIKO crew will be there, just inside the front entrance.
The photo shows last year's PIKO booth, but you can look for something similar. Come on out, talk to the PIKO team and enjoy the show!
This is a chance to get up close and personal with a pre-production version of our new G-Scale D&RGW Tri-Mode Mogul Loco. What's so special about Tri-Mode? Well, just that it's the first G-Scale loco ever to come from the factory with everything built in, so you can enjoy amazing digital sound, smoke and full-feature operation on your choice of DC, DCC or Battery R/C.
Yes, for the first time ever, with no modifications needed, the market will now have steam locos ready-to-run right out of the box - on clean track, dirty track... or technically, no track at all! Coming soon in D&RGW and PRR roadnames, plus a nifty CNJ Camelback loco due in the fall.
HO fans can marvel at the amazing detail and quality of our Krauss Maffei ML4000 Diesel Hydraulic locos. The reviewers at Model Railroad News and Railroad Model Craftsman magazines couldn't stop raving about these locos. Lots of customers - and we're talking about some folks with a whole lot of trains - have told us these are the finest models they own. We won't argue with them!
In N-Scale, check out our little gems, the Whitcomb 65-Ton Diesels. These are proof that good things can come in small packages. Diecast metal construction gives them great traction and they pump out more sound volume than many larger locos.
Last, but not least, the PIKO Kids Play Area will be there, with PIKO G-Scale trains and building blocks on the floor for the Junior Engineers. Sorry, grownups, this is for the kids! But you can buy your own PIKO Building Block Car and build whatever you want.
It should be fun time for all!
