🫨🫨 Brent Ford ❤️💛💚🎸🎵 brought this amazing Anaconda Basses Medusa from the UK in for some TLC and a new set of strings. First off, the bass is beautiful, Anaconda does a fantastic job of building. Second, the Hipshot Products, Inc. headless system works so much better than the cheaper import versions. Mee likey. We went with the GHS Strings Pressurewounds as flatwounds tend to break in headless systems. You might see this bass with Brent and The Dub Squad so keep your eyes open, they put on a fantastic show!

Just finished the guitars for Cave Bastard and their upcoming recording session! Dialed in all the Floyd Rose trems, dialed in the Evertune, cleaned every body, fretboard, and polished the F out of all the frets. Electronics all sound great, no scratchy pots or intermittent signals. Can't wait to hear the new Cave Bastard material! Need an adjustment, want to swap a pickup, or maybe get a new jack installed? Hand carved bone nut day! Cave Bastard is heading back into the studio, so we are in the process of dialing in all the instruments for recording! Troy wanted his Spector Basses Euro LX bass in C # std with a lighter string gauge- so a new nut was on the menu. I took an unbleached bone blank and carved it into what you see above. Handmade, hand slotted, hand polished. Love the MusicNomad nut files!! Can't wait for the new Cave Bastard album, keep your ears open..

Andy from HIRIE brought his Michael Tobias Design Kingston Z5 over for a preamp swap. I installed a Sadowsky preamp with mid switch in a custom k**b layout. We reused an existing k**b hole for the mid switch, hence the funky washer needed to cover the hole. Bass sounds absolutely SICK. Check out HIRIE, they are freakin' amazing and you'll probably see this bass onstage next time they play live!

New pickups and killswitch day! Brendan from Alific hit me up wanting a killswitch and some new pickups for his baby.. a '92 Strat.. we went for the Fender Gen 4 Noiseless set, an Iron Age | Guitar Accessories killswitch, all new pots, Orange Drop cap. Had to route out a cavity in the body for the switch, installed a 10M resistor to minimize the switch pop. You'll probably see this guitar onstage tonight with Alific at The Harp Ocean Beach! Full rewire alert! 😆👍 brought his workhorse in for a full rewire, the OG pots really needed to be replaced. I added all new CTS 250k pots, Orange Drop .047 capacitor, a Switchcraft jack, and all fresh hookup wire. Result? Bass sounds GOOD. like real good. The one and only came by with this killer import guitar for a fret level. Straightened the neck and busted out my trusty S-file for fret crowning. I hand-leveled all the frets, recrowned them, gave the fret ends my signature round over, and polished them all up. Had to adjust the locking nut shelf slightly to accommodate the new fret height. Guitar plays killer!! 🔥🤘🔥

This killer Ultra came through needing some electronic work. I gutted it and rebuilt with CTS pots, Orange Drop Caps, Oak Grigsby 5-way, and built the Fender American Treble Bleed. Custom switching as well. Gave it a good cleanup and and she's ready to own the stage!! Need some work? Hit me for an appt! Be kind to your gear!
