We’re honored to welcome 25 newcomers — our third mastermind edition — into the fold. What a crew.

Highlights included:

- A “website dojo,” where members’ sites were critiqued by master designers, copywriters, and content strategists 🥋

Ten members shared their life’s work in five minutes each:

- ISLAS-CERVERA on 25 years of turning historic Mexico City buildings into cultural spaces
- patricia mou on building The Commons, and now a modern-day temple
- Mustafa Khan on hosting Daybreaker SF and throwing a 100-person Midnight Brunch
- Sarah Knapp on creating a ten-day outdoor festival for New York City
- IXCHEL SPIRITUAL CLINIC on two initiations in Gabon and the ceremony practice that followed
- Melissa Laci on building the culture at Zappos and helping Tony Hsieh launch Delivering Happiness
- Charley Hasenbeck on years in the San Francisco underground, and building the Bay Area’s answer to South by Southwest
- Carson Linforth Bowley on designing brands from a cottage in the redwoods — El Gonzo, Denizen, Earth One
- Nico on leaving Snapchat to live in her car and map the communities living outside the default
- Brandon Santiago on going from high school dropout to spoken word to The Peace Studio

Thrilled to have Olivia Vagelos — experiential designer and strategist — as returning member at our XH Mastermind (2nd Edition).

Olivia leads The Design for Feelings Studio, crafting tools and teachings that help people and organizations design experiences that feel, heal, and imagine more just, beautiful, regenerative futures. She recently co-founded Aftermap, bringing the rigor and magic of experience design to end-of-life planning and post-death crisis care, marrying the emotional with the tactical in our most tender transitions.

Meet Brenton Zola (Brenton Zola), one of the multi-talented curators behind the refreshed XH Top 50. ✨

A writer, performance artist, and researcher, Brenton has that special XH curator radar: he can feel the room, clock the craft, and spot the moment when music, story, and ritual start to turn a gathering into a community.

That’s how he draws lines between the experiences he chose for us — happenings as diverse as Berlin’s improvising Stegreif orchestra (Stegreif), Project Playground’s upcoming Playground Express: Mongolia train journey () (!!!), and CultureCon (CultureCon ®), the world’s largest creative homecoming celebrating Black and Brown culture. They don’t all look the same, but each one helps people come alive together.

We’re grateful to Brenton for bringing so much taste, attention, and lived experience to the XH Top 50. Announcing the XH Top 50 summer refresh. ☀️

In January, we asked 10 experiential tastemakers to share what gatherings are worth booking flights for this year.

Their top picks were compiled into the Experience House Top 50.

Our curators are people who design, study and (nearly compulsively 😉) audit their environments. They’re experience junkies who are fascinated with the art & science of human connection. So, naturally, we tasked them with exposing hidden gems based on every event they’ve ever been to.

What they collectively surfaced was surprising. But all have a couple common threads. They are experiences that:

• are inspiring or innovative
• have a unique experiential tilt or remarkable feature worth learning from
• experience designers or community builders leave feeling closer to their craft - simply by being a participant

Meet Stephanie Blake — member of the XH Mastermind, and the force behind the revival of Jack’s, one of San Francisco’s oldest restaurants.

A century ago, this was a room where leaders sketched the city’s future over dinner and sealed deals on cocktail napkins. Today, Stephanie and her team are bringing it back to life as a home for the conversations that matter most - human to human, without the distractions of our devices.

During our San Francisco Assembly, we had the opportunity to gather in this remarkable space. Over ice-cold Jack’s martinis and a four-course Jeffersonian dinner, we gathered at tables of six to talk about the new frontier: the future of how we connect in a world being reshaped by AI.

Some rooms hold history. The best ones keep making it. 🥂
