HammerHead productions was established in 2011 with a desire, passion and vision to showcase "Live" music by leveraging all advertisement & media platforms.
In 2012 our campaign kicked off with Fiessta Rock Explossion at The Historic Cadillac Bar in downtown San Antonio, TX leaving thousands of concert-goers to celebrate over 16 South Texas local and regional bands on 2 stages & 2 nights! It was at this moment we coined the phrase "Come for the food, Stay for the music” & introduced Burlesque, tattoo's and arts & crafts booths to offer a truly unique local festival atmosphere for concert-goers to enjoy. We also introduced a local industry standard by producing our very own video commercials, leveraging our youtube channel and other broadcast platforms...now a local standard performed by many. We also secured our 1st national opportunity supporting Gladiator Rock-n-Run the “Top Rated” obstacle course race on the planet founded by Dan Clark, "Nitro" from the American Gladiators! Later in the year saw HammerHead support the debut of Age of Reason with special guest Freakhouse from Hollywood, CA, leading to our first celebrity fan appearance by 2 time NBA Champion Brent Barry of the San Antonio Spurs!
In 2013, HammerHead received multiple local & national sponsorships. Our sophomore return of Fiessta Rock Explossion was proudly announced Live on local TV affiliate KENS 5, Great Day SA with a ticket giveaway for random callers to Win. On December 6th we teamed up with Non Commissioned Officer Association, Lackland AFB chapter and proudly produced our first charity show supporting snowballexpress.org at Josabi's Bar & Live Music Venue in Helotes, TX. Grammy award winning Tejano artist Max Baca & Los Tex Maniacs rounded out the line-up of bands at Snowball Express, A Gary Sinese foundation chartered to serve the children of our fallen military heroes. Over $7,000 was raised!
In 2014 We have promoted numerous business brands and bands throughout South Texas offering all viable visibility to ensure sustainable success. HammerHead is not just a music establishment; it's an environment. "We want an experience, not just 'let's go see a show' If you want just a show then go to that same place down the street" and the ultimate experience is exactly what we accomplished with a Back-to-School Pep-rally show at Edgewood Independent School District featuring San Antonio’s very own KISS tribute band “KISSit” with over 2,000 in attendance! This show was also featured on the official KISS website celebrating the spirit of the Hottest band in the World's quest to Rock-n-Roll all night...you know the rest...
2015 was another great year with the introduction of our Rock'n BBQ's supporting the fight against cancer. Multiple shows with Spurs Sports & Entertainment at the AT&T Center and Freeman Coliseum highlighted with the honor of hosting Military Appreciation night at the Spurs game, plus kicking off the WNBA Stars season opener and Breast Cancer Awareness night at the game with Eagle Pass, TX very own recording artist The Velvet Hues. Our Fiessta Rock Explossion campaign entered it's 4th year with a record 21 Live music performances capturing the sounds of Rock, Blues, Christian, Metal, Indie, Hip Hop, Punk and Hispanic/Latino fusion! Hard work pays off with back to back direct support performances by Age of Reason with frontman Buster Grant (most notably known with Wyzard) sharing the stage with National recording artist Queensryche at Alamo City Rock Fest plus Shaman's Harvest & Theory of a Deadman at the Historic Aztec Theatre in downtown San Antonio, Texas! Not to be outdone we rounded off the year with the return of our Rock'n Food Drive with headlining act The Stone Foxes from San Francisco, CA as featured on cable TV network Showtime(s) hit show Shameless! Fan participation helped to raise over 400lbs of food supporting our community and a monetary donation offered by our hosting venue The Amp Room on the Historic St Mary's Strip in downtown San Antonio, TX!
2016 kicked off with Fiessta Rock Explossion V, truly celebrating local and regional musicianship from all over of Texas! Fans were witness to Fall 2 Rise from El Paso, TX; A New Horizon from Nacadoches, TX; Black Heart Saints from Austin, TX; Fallout from Uvalde, TX; Embrace the Moment “Vans Warp tour nominees” from La Vernia, TX and returning artist The Rockoholics from Corpus Christi, TX to name a few. Throughout the year we hosted several never before seen line-ups, most notably Nancy Silva Project and debuts including Down Generation and the return of Rock'n Food Drive 3!!! Another 1st for HammerHead Productions was seen in 2016 with our introduction into Professional Boxing via direct promotional support for local Professional boxer, Xavier "Professor X" Wilson currently undefeated, trained by Team Guzman at UFC Gym! We are also extremely proud and truly humbled to have hosted Military Appreciation Night at the WNBA Stars game marking our 3rd consecutive year in a row with this honor for all 3 Spurs Sports & Entertainment platforms with the NBA Spurs, Rampage Hockey & WNBA Stars! Plus, We were bestowed the honor to host the National Anthem sung by local independent artist Carlie Green! 2016 was certainly a rewarding and entertaining year for HammerHead but sadly also saw a deadly situation unfold with an armed robbery by gunpoint to regional touring artist Viridian from Lake Charles, LA supporting one of our local show lineups on the St. Mary's Strip in downtown San Antonio. We are glad to report that the band is doing ok and is still touring, making the music we all love to hear!
2017-2018 saw HammerHead go behind the scenes and into the recording studio(s) collaborating with various artist in San Antonio, TX and Memphis, Tennessee. Plus, River City Rock Fest at the AT&T Center grounds along with Spurs Sports & Entertainment recognizing our May 2017 show at Sam's Burger Joint as the official Pre-Party!!! In celebration, we offered a ticket giveaway for RCRF featuring headlining acts Def Leppard & GodSmack! We also were able to produce a few “secret” private shows that to this date have remained a mystery with the exception of 1, our very first HammerHead “Rocktober” B-Day bash, An invitational black-attire affair with all the bells & whistles capped off with a very special live music performance by none other than Ruben V!
Fast forward to the present, HammerHead has continued working behind the scenes and ramping up our HammerHead BBQ Team that is now slated to hit the national competition circuit beginning 2019 in all categories. Plus, We went On Tour! A first for HammerHead Productions this past February with stops in South Texas including Austin & Houston, TX with San Antonio favorites Gandhi’s Gun, Minister Fiend, Konvxtion & Asleep in the Wake from Houston, TX formed by former Saliva drummer Paul Crosby!
We are excited at what the future holds for us no matter the situation, Brand Ambassadorship, Military appreciation, charitable causes, supporting local/regional independent artist, live music events, BBQ competitions & more...
