As we gear up for the 2nd Annual TSgt Wesley Kubie Memorial Golf Tournament, we want to take a moment to reflect on the amazing success of last year's event and thank the incredible community that made it all possible.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special. To all the players who came out to honor Wes and support the event, the generous local and industry donors who contributed to raise funds for the Kubie family and the TACP Foundation, and the many businesses and individuals who donated items for our raffle and contests. Your generosity added to the energy of the day and helped us raise even more support for the cause. Thank you as well to the volunteers who showed up early, stayed late, and kept everything running smoothly. Thank you to Travis Olson for cooking an amazing pork butt, it was so good that some people went back for seconds (and thirds), and we ended up running out. Safe to say it was a crowd favorite. And a very special thank you to Mike Hargrave and the entire staff at Salina Municipal Golf Course. Your hospitality, flexibility, and genuine support for our event went above and beyond. We are truly grateful to have had your team helping us.
We also want to sincerely thank Wes's family for traveling in and being part of the event. Your presence brought a deep sense of meaning and connection that everyone there felt and truly appreciated. And a heartfelt thank you to Andy and Stefanie Jundt for once again welcoming friends, family, and members of the 284 ASOS into their home for the annual toast to Wes. It was a meaningful moment of reflection and connection that brought everyone closer together.
We had a packed course, great weather, and a lasting reminder of the impact Wes had on all of us. It was a day full of laughs, cold drinks, good golf, and the kind of fun Wes would have loved.
We have over 100 photos from the event but we know there are more out there. Feel free to tag yourself and share more for us to add.
Thank you all for helping us celebrate Wes's memory in a way that brings people together and gives back.
Stay tuned, more updates on this year's event are coming soon!
