Festival Artists and Oregonians alike know that a little rain won’t dampen our love of art. In fact, it doesn’t take long to find inspiration in artwork that draws directly from and celebrates the natural beauty of the region we call home.

“Early Bird” by 2026 Poster Artist Cheryl Brown celebrates the intersection of nature and geography, while the “Visitors Welcome” Festival T-shirt design by Shoki and Sara Tanabe celebrates Salem’s natural beauty through Oregon’s white oaks, roses, and cherry blossoms.

These vibrant works beautifully capture the heart of the Pacific Northwest and the many ways local artists find fresh inspiration in Oregon’s natural beauty. Rain or shine, that creative spirit shines through every piece created and shared here.

We hope you’ll join us for the final day of the Salem Art Fair & Festival as we celebrate 77 years of art, creativity, and community this Sunday, September 13, 2026, right here in Bush’s Pasture Park.

You can make a difference at the 77th Annual Salem Art Fair & Festival, September 11–13, 2026. From the moment artists arrive until the final booth is packed up, you will play an important role in helping the Art Fair run smoothly and making sure our artists feel welcomed and supported throughout the weekend. Together, we can make this year’s Art Fair a great experience for artists, volunteers, and our community.

Volunteer help is needed as early as Wednesday, September 9, and Thursday, September 10, to welcome artists get settled and to their booth location, and as late as Sunday, September 13, as the event comes to a close and artists load up after a memorable weekend.
Whether you can volunteer for one shift or join us all weekend, every hour makes a difference. Your volunteer time helps support free art programming throughout the year.

Volunteer perks include:
• A free weekend pass to the Art Fair & Festival
• A commemorative SAFF volunteer T-shirt
• A free Salem Art Association annual membership
• A chance to win raffle prizes
•Discounts at the SAA Gallery Gift Store and artist workshops

This year’s commemorative design, “Visitors Welcome,” was created by local educators and artists Shoki and Sara Tanabe. Inspired by their Japanese-American heritage, the design draws on traditional Japanese woodblock and Notan techniques to celebrate Salem’s natural beauty through Cherry Blossoms, Roses, and White Oak.
Be part of the team that brings the Art Fair to life — and take home a special piece of this year’s celebration.

Sign up for your shift today and be part of the 77th Annual Salem Art Fair & Festival.
