Sacramento International FOLK Dancers Sacramento International Folk Dance and Arts Council is a collection of clubs and dancers who welcome newcomers to join the fun!

What is the Sacramento International Folk Dance and Arts Council (SIFDAC)? SIFDAC’s mission is to promote international folk dancing and music through: classes, workshops, teacher training, and outreach programs to the general public. The council is made up of many individual clubs representing a wide range of dance and music. They also sponsor the annual Camellia International Dance Festival in M

arch, a weekend of dance classes, and parties. The Council also sponsors other special events related to folk dancing, music, and art in the greater Sacramento area. Additionally, the Council has a web site (folkdancesac.org), and a membership directory. The Council encourages new members and serves as a way for people to find out what folk folk-related activities are available in the Sacramento area. Contact Information

We’re teaching a beginners folk dance lesson on Sunday, August 11 at 1pm before our weekly club dancing from 2-4pm.

Come dance with us and learn line and circle dances from Turkey, France, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, and other countries.

Location: Chico Creek Dance, 1144 W 1st St, Chico, CA. $2-5 donation.

Kick off the holidays with us at Festivals of Light next Saturday, November 4th! We are thrilled to share our gorgeous new Ecuadorian traditional dress (shown here) and choreography by ! We will also share many different dances, music, and holiday traditions from around the globe! We are excited to welcome guest dancers and singers from our community including flamenco arts and crew and local bluegrass band the Lounge Lizards! There’s no other holiday concert around where you’ll experience African , dancing, , baile , , and more on one stage! And if that’s not enough, we have another special guest as well. 🎅
