The festival’s mission is to foster the development of well-rounded dancers and providing them with extensive exposure and networking opportunities. Each year, TCDA-IBF selects a panel of esteemed Master-Teachers from various international ballet companies and schools. These esteemed ins

tructors are Directors, Principal Dancers, and Choreographers who are dedicated to the holistic development of each student. What distinguishes TCDA-IBF is its distinctive scholarship program, which facilitates students’ enrollment in esteemed national and international dance programs. This initiative offers students unparalleled experiences, exposure, and opportunities for their professional development. TCDA-IBF welcomes dancers from diverse backgrounds, ranging from the age of 11 to the professional level. We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Jennifer Blasek at the TCDA-IBF Summer Intensive this year!

Born in Canada, Ms. Blasek studied ballet at the Ballet School of the Opéra National de Paris from 1985 to 1991 under the direction of Claude Bessy.

She makes her stage debut at the age of 17 ans with Germinal Casado for Badisches Staatstheater de Karlsruhe.

Hired three years later by Ballet National de Nancy directed by Pierre Lacotte, she's soon given soloist roles in his latest choreographies.

In march 1997, Patricia Neary of Balanchine Trust gives her star role in 2 pieces of George Balanchine: Tchaïkovski Pas de Deux and Theme and Variations.

In 2001 under the direction of Didier Deschamps,the Ballet de Nancy becomes CCN - Ballet de Lorraine.

Named principal, Jennifer performs more than 12 seasons creations or neo-classical and contemporary repertoire of : Karole Armitage, Merce Cuningham, William Forsythe, George Balanchine, Russel Maliphant, Nicolas Leriche, Abou Lagraa, Jean-Claude Galotta, Claude Brumachon, José Limon, Angelin Preljocaj, Tero Saarinen, Dominique Bagouet, Martha Graham, Jacopo Godani, Lionel Hoche, Emanuel G*t, Gigi Caciuleanu, Twyla Tharp.

During 2002-2003 season, Jean-Christophe Blavier (Principal at Stuttgart Ballet) invites her to take first role in one of his creations: Dolomytica, for the Bolzano Dance Festival de Danse in Italy.

Named Knight of Arts and Letters in 2007 by Mister Donnedieu de Vabres, Minister of Culture, Jennifer receives this same season her State Diploma of Dance Teaching.

Holder of the Certificate of Aptitude (CA) for Classical Dance Teacher since 2013, Jennifer has taught as a Contractual Artistic Teaching Professor (PEA) at the Regional Conservatory of Nancy until 2019.

Now a tenured PEA, responsible for coordinating the Dance Department at the Regional Conservatory Darius Milhaud in Aix-en-Provence, she is regularly invited to lead workshops, pedagogical and choreographic sessions, masterclasses, as well as serving as a judge for competitions and exams.

Since 2016, Ms. Blasek has been a guest teacher for various professional companies and Youth Ballets such as Tanztheater Wuppertal, the Ballet de l'Opéra National de Paris, the National Ballet of Marseille, the Basel Ballet, the Ballet de l'Opéra National du Rhin, the Ballet Preljocaj, the Ballet de l'Opéra de Metz, the Malandain Ballet Biarritz, the Junior Ballet Preljocaj, and the Young Ballet of Arles.

She is also a trainer for the State Diploma in dance teaching (ESAL from 2016 to 2019 – CAFEDANSE in Aix-en-Provence since 2019) and a tutor in the context of the training for the Certificate of Aptitude for classical dance teachers offered by the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Lyon.

TCDA-IBF is thrilled to welcome Ms. Cosima Munoz in 2025
Soloist - Béjart Ballet Lausanne / Victor Ullate Ballet, Madrid / National Ballet School, Marseille

Born in Alès, France, Cosima Munoz began her training at the CNR in Montpellier with Robert Pujol.

In 1996, she trained at the Studio Colette Armand and in 1999 joined Mireille Bourgeois's class at the École Nationale Supérieure de Danse de Marseille.

From 2003 to 2009, Jean-Charles Gil expanded his repertoire and hired her for the Ballet d'Europe. This period was rich in styles, during which she expressed the full extent of her talent, particularly through other choreographers such as Jorma Uotinen, Angelin Preljocaj, Lionel Hoche, and George Balanchine (invited by the Ballet National de Marseille for the evening dedicated to the Russian choreographer).

From 2010 to 2016, Gil Roman hired her as a soloist at the Béjart Ballet Lausanne. She has danced all of Maurice Béjart's signature ballets worldwide, such as "The 9th Symphony," "The Presbytery," "The Rite of Spring," "The Magic Flute," and more.

Choreographer Christophe Garcia (Cie "La Parenthèse") chose her for his creation of "Le Spectre à la Rose."

From 2016 to 2019, she completed her career as a soloist dancer at the Victor Ullate Ballet in Madrid.

In 2019, she began her teaching career at numerous schools in Madrid and Spain.

She was notably spotted by Jean-Philippe Dury, who hired her for the famous "Elephant in the Black Box" in Madrid, entrusting her with the roles of classical dance teacher and ballet mistress.

Returning to France in 2021, she participated in numerous choreographic workshops at the École Nationale Supérieure de Danse de Marseille.

In 2022, she obtained her state diploma in classical dance and joined the teaching team at the École Nationale de Danse de Marseille in September of the same year as a classical dance teacher, a discipline she also teaches in adult classes.

Alongside the ENDM, she serves as a jury member for the French Dance Federation.
