Run Santa Run 5K & Dasher's Detour
Presented by Smoothie King Royse City
Get ready to dash through the heart of Royse City in holiday style!
Join us for a festive morning celebrating fitness, fun, and the joy of the season. Starting at the Royse City Chamber Office, our scenic route winds through charming historic downtown, past Old City Park, and through the Hidden Creek area before looping back for a cheerful finish.
Whether you’re a competitive runner aiming for a personal best or a family looking for a fun morning out, we want YOU there! This event funds the Royse City Emerging Leaders program and other community initiatives.
🎅 Choose Your Jolly Journey
1. The Full Sleigh (5K Race)
The Challenge: A timed 3.1-mile run for those ready to race!
The Swag: 5K participants receive a commemorative race shirt (see deadlines below) and a fantastic Finisher Medal to show off their accomplishment.
Awards: Medals for Top Overall Male/Female and Top Finishers by age group.
2. Dasher's Detour (1-ish Mile Fun Run/Walk) & ✨JINGLE PAWS✨
The Route: We took a little 'detour' past the elves' workshop! This festive jaunt is slightly longer than a mile but twice the fun. Perfect for families, friends, and walkers.
The Reward: All Dashers receive a festive finisher ribbon!

Warning: Extreme Levels of Holiday Cheer Detected! 🚨
Local authorities (us) are issuing a "Severe Cuteness Watch." We are looking for dogs in tutus, Goldens dressed as elves, and Pugs pretending to be reindeer!
The Mission: Register for the Dasher's Detour, grab a leash, dress your pet in their holiday best, and compete for the Best Pet Costume Award!
You do not have to bring a pet to join in on the Dasher's Detour!

Date: Saturday, December 13, 2025
Location: Royse City Chamber Office (216 North Arch Street)
Beneficiary: Proceeds fund the Emerging Leaders and local community projects.
Race Day Schedule:
7:00 – 7:45 AM: Registration & Packet Pickup
8:00 AM: 5K Start
8:05 AM: Dasher's Detour (1-Mile) Start
Post-Race: Award Ceremony at Cookston Court on Main Street
