I did not think this dahlia was going to come back. I mulched last fall and didn’t expect much. It came back and survived the frost under a large vase. The cold did make it a little weaker. A few weeks ago I noticed some insect damage so I gave it a good spray of tea for 3 days. And looks like it’s recovering. I’ll keep up on the tea spray and amend with casting and post an update later on.

One more day to shop plants, locals crafts and pick up some worm castings! I’m in the Pagham building.
My artichoke is loving the castings. I added about 2 lbs around the base this spring and worked it in. I saw 6 blooms coming up.
