The 2025 Angel Ceremony was one of the warmest events we’ve had—both in weather and in spirit. It was truly heartwarming to see everyone gathered together again this year, especially with the ceremony falling on a Saturday.

If you captured any moments from the day, please tag us in your photos so we can share in those memories with you.

Until next year, may your days be filled with sunshine, comfort, and joy.

Thank you to the Labor and Delivery nurses from Mercyhealth, Fitzgerald Funeral Home, UW Health, The Haven Network, Chris Tillou and everyone who made this event happen so beautifully!

Sometimes the words we haven’t spoken aloud are the ones our hearts need most. We welcome you to write a letter to your baby or child and bring it to the Angel of Hope Ceremony where it will be added to other letters written by parents throughout the years.

At a future vigil, letters will be read aloud for all to hear from those parents who have given permission for that to happen. If you would like to have your letter shared at some point in the future, please seal it in an envelope with your name and email address on it. We will contact you to let you know that your letter will be read beforehand.

The letter box will be by the Angel stature that evening for you to add your words too.

It was so good to see everyone who came out to the Angel of Hope vigil Friday night. We were so grateful for warmer temperatures making it such a beautiful night. Special thank you to the L&D nurses at Mercy for helping at the event and for making beautiful ornaments for all of the families in attendance, for our speaker Jake Hubert who spoke so eloquently about his daughter Livia and to take time to live in the moment and make memories every day, for Jodi Beach who blessed us with her amazing voice and for UW SwedishAmerican for providing our sound system. If you were not able to make it this year, we will see you next year 12.6.25 at 6pm.

The Angel of Hope vigil was inspired by the book, "The Christmas Box". In this book, there is a special box that contains letters written by a mother to her child who passed away at 3 years old. They are love letters to her daughter.

In keeping with this spirit, we encourage you to write a letter to your child and bring it to the Angel of Hope ceremony on December 6 to place in our own Christmas Box. These letters will be kept safe in the Christmas Box over the years.

Please put your letter in an envelope with your name on it, your child's name and date. If you would be willing to have your letter read at one of the future vigils, please include your email.

In the book "The Christmas Box", the Christmas Box contains letters from a mother to her child who passed away at three years old. They are love letters to her daughter.

In this spirit, we encourage you to write a letter to your child and bring it to the Angel of Hope ceremony on December 6 to place in our own Christmas Box. These letters will be kept safe in the Christmas Box over the years.

Please put your letter in an envelope with your name on it, your child's name and the date. If you would be willing to have your letter read at future candlelight vigils, please include your email on the envelope.

See you all soon!

In “The Christmas Box”, the book that the Angel of Hope Vigil is based on, there is a lady who writes her daughter letters each year and put them in a box to save….the Christmas Box.

This is a beautiful idea and something we are going to incorporate into our ceremony.

We have purchased a box (donated by The Haven Network) and are encouraging parents, siblings, grandparents to write a letter to their child and put it in the Christmas Box. This box will be kept safe at The Haven and made available at every future Angel of Hope Candlelight Vigil.

Please put your letter in an envelope with your name on it, your child’s name and the date.

If you are willing to allow your letter to be read at a future Angel of Hope ceremony, please include your email address on the envelope. Only put your email if you are willing to have your letter read at a future ceremony.
