Attack The Dragon

Attack The Dragon Annual event held on US Highway 129 aka "The Dragon" on the border of TN/NC in the Smoky Mountains. Founded by two guys who like cars, some 550 miles apart.

Before big social media, we used forums to connect and help others in our auto community. By off topic conversation, this meet was formed, and so was the lasting friendships created by it. Meeting each year in October, since 2008, this event has grown into something many anticipate and drive from miles around to attend. We converge in Fontana Dam, NC for lunch the day of and spend the day enjoying

each other's company while taking in the amazing drive and views provided by US 129 "The Dragon". From the Atlantic coast, the Midwest, the South and as reaching as Las Vegas, NV, people drive...to just drive. Welcome to the family!

Massive thank you to all who attended this year’s ! We had some familiar faces and some new ones join us this year and happy to say that everyone had a solid time!

ATD 2k25 Updates:

Well, it’s been a while since we’ve posted, and we apologize for that. We haven’t abandoned the event and it will still take place on Oct 18th-19th, as is tradition for each year.

We will still have our Meet & Greet dinner on Friday (10/18) evening, as well as the main luncheon at Fontana on Saturday (10/19) around noon. Followed by a group run down and back up the Dragon, then the group photo as we do every year.

Other than the usual group meals, this year is more of a laid back, “do whatever” sort of vibe. If you are interested in coming down this year, please feel free to DM us and we’ll get a direct line crafted up so you can stay up to date.
