Day two is in the books! There are still some shirts, long sleeves, sweatshirts available to purchase, so bring some cash OR CARD tomorrow, and we'll get you apparel.
Here's a recap of day 2!
Game 1: Flint Stones 100 - Open Gym Warriors 48
Reggie, Tyler, and Rashad all combined for 14 a piece, which was way too much for the 16 from Kyle Norwood of the Warriors.
Game 2: Rock Solid 84 - Make a Wish 51
Payton Nelson led Rock Solid with 23, while Andrew Niemi led Make a Wish with 18.
Game 3: Fast Eddie 64 - The Swingers 46
Although Justin Nelson had 18 for The Swingers, it wasn't enough as Fast Eddie had 22 from Zach Carlson.
Game 4: ReMax 69 - Everything Hurts 34
I think Jake Dodge wanted to end the game at this score for the high school humor of the score, as Mark Kinnunen was a leading scorer with 6 for Everything Hurts. Jason Gravedoni put in 22 for ReMax to lead the charge.
Game 5: Flint Stones 95 - The Bad Guys 40
Omar piled in 20 for the Stones, while Ben Rubick was able to put in 8 to lead The Bad Guys.
Game 6: AdvantEdge 90 - Rock Solid 66
Donovan Short put in 21 for Rock Solid, but it wasn't enough for the 8, yes 8, 2nd half 3 pointers for Dustin Brancheau, who led all scorers of the day with 34 points.
Game 7: Carey/Sodegran 63 - Prestige Worldwide 32
Thomas Finegan led Prestige with 10, but Toni Marietti led all scorers with 22, which was more than enough to lead the defending champs into a semifinal game.
Game 8: Argall Excavating 38 - Free Head Shots 69
Griffin Argall led the Excavators with 14 points but it wasn't enough, as Joe Heinonen doubled that (28) for Free Head Shots. Unfortunately Joe did get hurt during that game and we wish him the best of results and a good road to recovery.
Game 9: Rock Solid 74 - Open Gym Warriors 58
Surprisingly the Open Gym Warriors kept it within 10 points until about the 10 minute mark of the 2nd half, but Peyton Nelson was just too much, as he poured in 28. Nick Blum put in 4-3's for the Warriors and finished the day with 15 in the second game.
Game 10: Make a Wish 69 - The Bad Guys 42
Andrew Niemi led all scorers in the game with 21 for Make a Wish, while Alex Sundberg dropped in 14 for The Bad Guys.
Game 11: ReMax 75 - Fast Eddie 71
Cadence Pelizzer dropped in 33 points for ReMax, and it was enough to top the leading scorer for Fast Eddie, Zach Carlson, who had 21 tough points.
Before game 12, we had the 3 point contest, where 5 contestants competed in it! We would love to have more next year.
With one and only one round completed, Jarrett Davidson and Dustin Brancheau both tied for the lead. They went to a tie breaker where Jarrett hit one more three. Very close battle, and some of you are probably thinking there was some rigging involved there...I'll let you be the judge of that ;)
With the night cap, we saw one of the two A semifinal games: Carey/Sodegran 62 - Free Head Shots 52
With Joe out, Free Head Shots relied on Austin Carlson to dump in 15 for them, to lead all scorers. But if you've seen the defending champs play, they know how to distribute the ball well, and were able to sustain a lead, with the help of 14 points from Josh Makela.
We hope to see you all tomorrow!
