I remember giving this interview during the Taipei Bike Show but this is the first I've seen how it went. Tomo Ichikawa has worked so hard to build Clever Standard. It is an honor to be part of the team.

The company utilises marine waste to address environmental concerns in the biking industry. Clever Standard is repurposing marine waste for its products, tackling ocean pollution head-on. Kurstin Graham, Consultant at Clever Standard, provides insights into the company's unique approach, emphasising...

While some consider the Selenite Range on the south east edge of the Black Rock Desert to be the guardians of the the Black Rock my gaze is always drawn to the Granite Range. In the winter and spring my imagination is drawn to its snow covered elevations from the distant south. Crossing the Black Rock Desert playa I can look over my left shoulder and see snow from 5000' to 9000'+....

An early creek crossing, no one gets to ride with dry feet In 2010 I started to look for other places to fly fish. In checking the Nevada Division of Wildlife's Fishing Regulations I came across Desert Creek. Ever since I have made at least 3 trips a year there, car camping, often solo, mostly to hike and fish, but I have made a few trips out there with a bike....

Early start on Greenhorn Cutoff Road Photo Shay Daylami This trip has been on my radar for years now. I want to ride where the Nevada's Basque sheepherders took their flocks. Similarly I want to ride where ranchers drove their cattle. I also want to do a series of rides where I ride through small town Nevada during their home grown festival....

"They are going to clear the area, they are going to drop retardant," we were warned by a fellow watching the flames coming out of a pit in front of the old mill in Grantsville Canyon. The stone masonry was black from soot. The fire appeared to be on several levels. This was our destination for the day. Time to re-think that....

"Is that thunder?", asked Galen Watson. Heavy skies looking across the southern portion of Winnemucca (dry) Lake. Nightingale Mountains "I think it is a jet," I answered. Rainstorms in the desert can have you on edge. If the clay gets wet you will be stuck in the mud pushing an boat-anchor of a bike along. Or dragging it behind you out of frustration as I have experienced....

Mitch Ison rode from Fallon to Carson City at the end of March and shot some inspiring photos. I had ridden from Buckland Station to Sand Mountain in April of 2020, so I thought there could be a great overnight opportunity lurking in those hills. Should you take on Jan Bennet's route from St Joseph, Missouri to Sacramento, California you will have a life changing sum of overnights for sure....

The more we use our public lands the more we learn about how they are managed and protected for future generations. The Pah Rah Range is a backwards C-shaped range from the Truckee River in the south to Pyramid Lake in the north. Its proximity to Reno/Sparks and established Public Lands Access points makes it a great destination for day trips and overnights....
