Janayra is a dancer, instructor, and member of the Raleigh Latin dance community, representing La Luz Dance Co. She is passionate about creating welcoming spaces where dancers can learn, connect, and grow together. La Luz Dance Co. is a Latin dance company and studio located in Downtown Raleigh, offering Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Heels, Cumbia, private lessons, progressive dance series, workshops, socials, and special events.

Julian Ruffin has been dancing for over a year and has quickly developed a deep passion for Salsa, particularly New York-style On2. His love for the music, movement, and culture inspired him to create Mambo Mondays, a social focused on bringing dancers together around Mambo and the On2 Salsa community.

Through Mambo Mondays, Julian hopes to create a space where dancers can enjoy the music, sharpen their skills, meet new people, and build community around this style of dance.

This Friday we welcome Clara Douglas from Salsa4Life as our community salsa dance instructor!

Clara will lead FREE salsa lessons from 6:00-6:30PM followed by a live salsa orchestral performance by West End Mambo from 6:30-8:30!

⭐️ Salsa at the Park returns NEXT FRIDAY! ⭐️

No weekend plans? Join us for a free evening of live Latin music, dancing, and community in Knightdale!

🔥 September’s Salsa at the Park features West End Mambo! 🔥

Originally formed in 1999, West End Mambo is comprised of musicians from North, South and Central America as well as the Caribbean. The eight piece ensemble performs a fiery mix of classic salsa and Latin styles from bolero and rumbas to guaracha and son montuno. Their repertoire includes original orchestral salsa arrangements of traditional Latin music including performances with the Winston-Salem and Greensboro Symphonies as well as classic salsa from the Buena Vista Social Club, Celia Cruz, Johnny Pacheco, Fania All-Stars, El Grand Combo and others.
