The toasty temperature did not seem to interfere with the competition today because it was just as competitive as yesterday!
We kicked off the morning with the CDIYH 5YO Preliminary test and saw a super performance from Elizabeth Bortuzzo riding her own Eyecatcher W for the win with a 83.400%.
The CDIAm Gold Tour Intermediate 1 class was won by Kerry Karangelen riding her own Condiblesse v/d Kempenhoeve with a score of 62.706%.
In the CDI1* Intermediate 1 it was another tight finish between Virginia based Olivia LaGoy-Weltz and Chester County based rider Silva Martin. However today, it was Silva who came out triumphant winning the blue sash with Janice Murdoch’s Zaphir on a score of 69.618%. Olivia and Fade to Black, owned by Mary Anne McPhail, were second with a 69.294% and Lauren Chumley was third with her own Leeloo Dallas and a score of 65.177%.
The CDIJ Juniors Individual test was won by Ella Davis and her own Rhett Butler with a score of 58.206%.
Laine Ashker and Ann Wilson’s Zeppelin took the blue ribbon in the CDI2* Intermediate A class with a score of 67.382%. Second place went to Mary Bahniuk Lauritsen riding Valerie Feigen’s Impression with a 63.882% and in third place it was Samantha Farrow with her own Quooper with a 54.735%.
The CDI3* Grand Prix Special was won by Christopher Hickey and Cecilia Stewart’s Stenagers Wyatt Earp and a score of 66.340%. The red sash went to Michael Bragdell and Hilltop Farm’s stallion Qredit Hilltop with a 65.723%.
