Day three crowned four more champions!

Congratulations to Elizabeth Bortuzzo and her Eyecatcher W on winning the CDIYH 5YO Final with a 83.400%.

It was another blue ribbon for Laine Ashker and Zeppelin, owned by Ann Wilson. They won the CDI Intermediate II with a 65.824%.

Taking the crown in the CDI1* Intermediate 1 Freestyle with a 70.435% was Lauren Chumley and her Leeloo Dallas.

And in the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle it was Adriane Alvord who took top honors riding her horse Selfmade to a score of 65.855%.

Well done!

Wow - it was a hot weekend for a horse show! Thanks again to all the volunteers and show management that kept things flowing at the Rhythm & Blues Boutique CDI. Day 2 of the Rythm & Blues CDI saw Qredit again put in a really strong test. With soaring temps in the 90's, Michael was so proud of how Q just keep trying through the whole test. A mistake in the 1's dropped them down to 2nd but overall super happy with the ride. Thanks again to the sponsors and organizers -- this is really a very special, botique CDI that offers a great experience. We're lucky to have it in this region. Pictured is Q and his team on Day 1 -- we've adopted Lauren Chumley I think as an honorary team member ;-)

The toasty temperature did not seem to interfere with the competition today because it was just as competitive as yesterday!

We kicked off the morning with the CDIYH 5YO Preliminary test and saw a super performance from Elizabeth Bortuzzo riding her own Eyecatcher W for the win with a 83.400%.

The CDIAm Gold Tour Intermediate 1 class was won by Kerry Karangelen riding her own Condiblesse v/d Kempenhoeve with a score of 62.706%.

In the CDI1* Intermediate 1 it was another tight finish between Virginia based Olivia LaGoy-Weltz and Chester County based rider Silva Martin. However today, it was Silva who came out triumphant winning the blue sash with Janice Murdoch’s Zaphir on a score of 69.618%. Olivia and Fade to Black, owned by Mary Anne McPhail, were second with a 69.294% and Lauren Chumley was third with her own Leeloo Dallas and a score of 65.177%.

The CDIJ Juniors Individual test was won by Ella Davis and her own Rhett Butler with a score of 58.206%.

Laine Ashker and Ann Wilson’s Zeppelin took the blue ribbon in the CDI2* Intermediate A class with a score of 67.382%. Second place went to Mary Bahniuk Lauritsen riding Valerie Feigen’s Impression with a 63.882% and in third place it was Samantha Farrow with her own Quooper with a 54.735%.

The CDI3* Grand Prix Special was won by Christopher Hickey and Cecilia Stewart’s Stenagers Wyatt Earp and a score of 66.340%. The red sash went to Michael Bragdell and Hilltop Farm’s stallion Qredit Hilltop with a 65.723%.

Day one of competition was full of suspense with a tie breaker required to crown the champion of the CDI1*. Olivia LaGoy-Weltz came out on top, winning the PSG class with a 71% riding Mary Anne McPhail’s Fade to Black. Silva Martin took the red ribbon, also with a 71%, riding Janice Murdoch’s Zaphir. And third on the podium with a 66.177% was Lauren Chumley riding her own Leeloo Dallas.

The CDIAM Gold Tour PSG was won by Kerry Karangelen riding her own Condiblesse v/d Kempenhoeve.

Ella Davis and her own Rhett Butler won the CDIJ Juniors Team test with a 62.333%.

The CDI3* Grand Prix was won by Michael Bragdell and Hilltop Farm’s Qredit Hilltop with a 67.652%. The red sash went to Christopher Hickey and Cecilia Stewart’s Stenagers Wyatt Earp and a score of 66.913%. In third place was Elizabeth Bortuzzo riding Ashley Meister’s Kobus with a 61.413%.
