Hello Homesteading Friends! We are getting ready to start planning next year's conference so be sure to keep an eye on this page for announcements! In the meantime, here are a few local educational events you might enjoy!

Learn all about The Magical World of Soil October 19th in Prescott Valley! This event will feature local experts including Stephane Leon That Arizona Garden Teacher, Greg Eddolls from .tips, Kathryn Kay (formerly Crew) the fungi fantatic and encyclopedia of mushroom-y knowledge from MycoEarth, and more! They will be presenting on how to build your own soil, the microorganisms and their role, how mycelium (mushrooms) enrich your soil, and MORE! Only $30 per person! A MUST VISIT for anyone who gardens!

Then, in November we have the upcoming The Fantastic World of Fungi event! This event is being put on by Kathryn Kay (Crew), That Arizona Garden Teacher Stephane Leon, and Patrick Leon of Crow Caps Mushrooms. They will be discussing how mycelium works in your soil, how mushrooms help the micro bacteria in your body, the health and benefits of mushrooms, and each participant will get a bag of sterilized substrate and a syringe of mushroom mycelium and we will inoculate our bags together for you to take home and grow your own mushrooms!
