Calling all filmmakers! The final day to submit your film to the 5th Annual Poulsbo Film Festival is June 8th. Films can be submitted through Film Freeway.

All genres are accepted! Shorts and features.

Student Films: $10 Fee ($500 Juried Award)

Standard Shorts: $15 Fee (Award TBD)

Features: $20 Fee (Award TBD)

The mission of the Poulsbo Film Festival is to bring independent film and filmmakers to the city of Poulsbo, Washington for a weekend of celebrating diverse stories produced from all across the United States (and world).

This three day festival includes 40+ films, filmmaker panels, networking, awards, small town vibes, and beautiful scenery. We are excited to have you submit your film!

Submissions will be judged by local filmmakers, artists, organizers, and community members. We have a total of 12 jurors this year.

This festival is brought to you by the Poulsbo Film Festival Foundation and endless support from donors, local businesses, volunteers, and staff.

Thank you to everyone who attended this event at the Port Gamble Theater. We had 100 total attendees! We're incredibly grateful for the community support and can't say thank you enough to Brad and everyone at the Port Gamble Theater for hosting and sponsoring the event!

Congratulations to our 2026 award winners!

Audience Award ($750): "Ducks in a Row" directed by Cade Feldmeier and produced by Josh Glaser

Juried Award ($2k): "Diplopia" directed by Sky McKay and produced/starring Shane Standard

Join us for the Poulsbo 47.7 Hour Film Challenge screening on Sunday, April 26th at 5pm, located at the Port Gamble Theater!

Four brave film crews accepted the challenge to make a short film in only 47.7 hours during the weekend of April 10-12, and now we get to watch their creations on April 26th at the Historic Port Gamble Theater!

The first-place winner will receive a $2,000 contract with the Peninsula Film Commission and the Poulsbo Film Festival Foundation to produce a cinematic sizzle reel to help promote filmmaking in the Kitsap and Olympic Peninsulas. The Audience Award will have a cash prize of $750!

Details to know about the event:

- Tickets are $12 each and can be purchased online via Zeffy
- Located at the Port Gamble Theater
- Doors will open at 5pm
- Program will begin at 6pm
- Runtime for the show will be 39 minutes
- Port Gamble Theater will have a bar with a variety of beverages and snacks

Happy Giving Tuesday!

We would like to thank every single person who had a hand in the 4th Annual Poulsbo Film Festival this year. What a tremendous accomplishment and we're so grateful for the unwavering support from our community of small business owners (sponsors), filmmakers, volunteers, crew members, board members, venues, journalists, tourism organizations, the City of Poulsbo Tourism Grant committee, and of course everyone who bought a ticket to come and watch some indie films!

On our very first Giving Tuesday as an official 501c3 nonprofit, we'd like to ask (if you are financially in a place to do so) for a small donation to help us launch into the new year as we continue to provide opportunities for filmmakers to develop and create unique stories and share them with our community and most likely all around the world!
