The Rose City Classic Student Art contest is an annual tradition as part of the 4-day cluster of all-breed dog shows in Portland, Oregon. We want to celebrate our students, showcase their talents, and bring together the community through the love of our canine companions. Students enter for a chance to win a $100 Amazon gift card, a $250 donation to their school's art department, and the chance fo
r their submission to be printed on T-shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, and notecards to be sold at the dog show. The RCC is one of the nation's largest dog shows, drawing in spectators and exhibitors from across the nation. Students are encouraged to be creative any submit a two-dimensional piece of artwork (draw, paint, sketch!) that follows the theme. Each year, we have a theme for students to celebrate our dogs. The theme for 2018, "My Dog's Got Talent!" encourages us to think creatively about the positive aspects of our dogs. We love both individual and entire classroom submissions for this project! All winning and merit artwork will be on display during the dog show at the Portland Expo Center. All ages and abilities are welcome!
