Want to see a NEW MURAL on YOUR building in the Port Angeles Waterfront District?
Now is your chance!
This year, the Port Angeles Waterfront District is hosting the inaugural West by Northwest Mural festival.
The Waterfront District is seeking FIVE wall owners to host FIVE ~96 SF murals throughout the District.
WHEN: The Mural Festival takes place from April 24th-April 27th. The murals will be worked on during this timeframe. They will be installed on walls this summer.
WHERE: We are looking for highly visible walls in the Waterfront District. But if you have a cool wall outside of our District, you should still apply. We will be expanding the scope of this festival in the years to come. Lincoln Street and the Uptown Arts District will targeted soon.
HOW: We match your wall with a muralist. You get to meet with the muralist to discuss the mural, but you do not commission the mural. But you do get to review the mural before it is painted. We help guide this process to ensure everyone is satisfied with the mural concept. The mural will be roughly 96 SF.
PAYMENT: Wall owners will pay $500 to host a mural on their wall. This will cover installation and some upkeep.
COMMITMENT: Wall owners must host for the mural for at least five years. This is due to our funding sources. (This is a great deal. The Murals will cost about $3500-$4000 to make and install.)
