Happy Wednesday! I went down a bunny trail as I was cleaning our master bathroom this morning. Thought I would take a few photos and compare what this room looked like when we moved in. So much has changed.

Since we hardly ever take baths (and can take one upstairs if we want to) we decided to get rid of the corner tub. The makeup table from is so much more practical and functional! And we changed out the window to let more light in and to be able to enjoy watching the cows in the pasture.

I love to remind myself now and again how far we have come with this old house. It's easy to forget if we don't take a walk down Memory Lane. 🤍

Happy Wednesday, Friends!

The light hits differently this morning and reminds me that spring is not far away! Daylight Savings is this weekend and I'm excited to gain an extra hour of sunlight to watch our son's baseball games. The grass is starting to turn a little more green, and soon, the workplace can be taken outside by the pool.

I know there will be a few colder days ahead, but after the winter we had, warmth and sunshine are going to be much appreciated and enjoyed! 🌷

Good Morning, from our cozy white farmhouse! All the animals are safe and accounted for. What a blessing! This beautiful white backdrop makes for lots of home cooked meals and late night movies. I treasure these days. 🤍

Extended weekend with no school tomorrow! Baked some sourdough bread this afternoon and tried my hand at the worst tasting keto bread. Thankfully the white chicken chili was divine so it made up for the nasty keto bread! The woodstove and logs felt good today in this drafty, old house. There is a coziness when certain rooms are chilly and everyone congregates in the family room and I can cook dinner with the logs burning. The animals seem to be fairing ok, but I worry about the colder temps coming. We may have to move some mamas and babies to the barn tomorrow to prevent pneumonia.

It's almost the weekend, Friends, and we have almost made it through the first week back to school and work after the holidays. Not that our family ever truly gets time away from work, but things have been a little busier stepping back into the routine. Still trying to balance time for rest, amidst hosting a college Bible study (20+ students hanging around, some until after midnight!), school, sports and undecorating for Christmas. This is where the rubber meets the road when we carve out time for rest, relaxation, making healthy meals, and of course, time alone with Jesus!

Not sure if you set goals for yourself in the New Year, but keep being faithful, keep showing up and keep being intentional, even when life gets busy and things get hard. Dedicate time for rest and reserve lots of room for grace.

✨ Happy New Year, my Friends! ✨

These tiny photos share a glimpse of our 2025. From celebrating birthdays, to vacations, to little joys like planting seeds, gardening, and trying new things, to ball games and home projects. We celebrated the birth of my niece, lots of babies being born on the farm as well as heartache and loss. As I reflect on the goodness of God, I am overwhelmed and drawn to love Him even more.

I'm praying and striving in the New Year to be more intentional...in my relationships, in my eating habits, and in the way I spend my time. I'm excited to celebrate 25 amazing years of marriage to my husband this coming year and I look forward to making much of Jesus in 2026!

Thank you for following along with our crazy family and I hope that you will be encouraged and excited to try new things with me this coming year! Happy January 1st! 🖤

Feeling reflective and grateful as I look back on our photos from Christmas Day...❤️
..although we keep a lot of the traditions going from Christmas pasts, with every new year, Christmas looks and feels different than the years before. The kids are older, the times are changing and although there is still lots of crazy laughter and chaos, there are more moments to pause, reflect and soak it all in.

From early in the morning, till on into the day after Christmas (I think this year it was 2 am!) our family party's hard. Fueled by Christmas punch and desserts, we take our time opening gifts, one person, one gift at a time. We play games, we talk, and just enjoy one another all day and all night long. The kids are exhausted and so are the adults, but we never want Christmas Day to end.

I'm so thankful for the birth of our Savior and the joy that He brings to our lives. The gift God gave each and every one of us though His Son gives us meaning and purpose as we walk into a New Year. God bless each of you and thank you for following along. Merry Christmas! 🎄
