Why take a chance? If you can afford a luxury service such as hiring a professional bartending service, please, PLEASE make sure you are doing your due diligence and are vetting your bartending service providers. You probably have A LOT to lose. Think it through .
Check for proper insurance:
- Is the business covered by General Liability Insurance?
- Is the business covered by Liquor Liability Insurance?
- Are the actual bartenders serving at your event covered by the bartending service that contracted them out? (often overlooked)
- Are the employees covered by Workmanโs Compensation insurance?
And like our friends over at Bubbly Bartending, we CANNOT provide alcohol to clients. THAT IS BOOTLEGGING!! ๐ณ
We DO NOT carry a liquor license. The State of Pennsylvania does not assign them to mobile bartenders, only establishments. The only thing a mobile bartending service can really provide without special permits/jumping loooholes(all the clients responsibly) is transportation of the alcohol - but they need a license for that too!!
Which also means, that youโre unfortunately going to have to probably pay more for a reputable, trustworthy, law abiding bartending service to provide services because doing things the right way, by the books, always costs more.
No shortcuts at SteelTown Bar Services or over at our friends at Bubbly Bartending ๐ค
Cheers! ๐ฅ
โจ When hiring your event bartender please be mindful of what you are paying for. PA is a Dram Shop state. The severity of bypassing the proper and safe handling of alcohol at your next event can be financially devastating to your family and or company.
โจ Currently, there is no mobile liquor licensing in our state. Meaning no sales outside of licensed establishments. *Proof of special permits would apply.
ANYONE can become RAMP Certified for as little as $15. Day of Liquor & General Liability insurance can cost upward of $500 alone. This doesnโt even touch the peace of mind when it comes to individual employee coverage (Workers Compensation).
๐ PLEASE PASS THIS ALONG to anyone looking into hiring a professional bar or beverage service company.
