Dead North Racing LLC is proud to announce the return of the Dead North Drags for the 2027 season.

Join us for a full weekend of competitive snowmobile drag racing on the ice at Back Lake. This event brings together drivers and spectators from across the region for a professionally run race weekend focused on performance, precision, and community.

Racers will have the opportunity to compete across multiple classes, while spectators can experience high-level racing in a structured and well-managed environment.

Additional event details, registration information, and schedules will be released as the event approaches.

Came across these old photos today and couldn’t help but smile.

Our spot actually started out as one of the rental cabins from the old Wander Inn on Beach Road. When the cabins were put up for sale in the early 2000s, my family bought ours, and we’ve been making memories there ever since.

These photos are of my dad and I back in the day, plus some of me pulling some friends around on a sled. 🤣😭 Looking at them reminds me how lucky I was to grow up spending so much time in Pittsburg.

Back Lake has always been one of my favorite places. Whether it was snowmobiling, hanging out with family, taking in the views, or just enjoying everything the North Country has to offer, some of my best memories were made here.

It’s crazy to think we’ve had this little camp for over 20 years now. What started as a rental cabin has become such a huge part of our family’s story, and I wouldn’t trade those memories for anything. ❤️
