"Take it or leave it.” That’s the ultimatum Florence*, a licensed practical nurse, was given when she raised concerns about risking her kids’ health.

For five years, Florence provided tender care to patients in an outpatient clinic. When her center started focusing on COVID care, out of concern for her children, she asked to be transferred to another center.

Florence was forced to choose between her children’s health or her job. She put her children first. She’s a mom of two children who have underlying health conditions and was gravely concerned about bringing COVID into her home.

Cyber charters frequently use recorded programs that can be re-used in many classes or for students individually. On average, cyber charter schools offer limited live instruction.
